It'll be a boring fight, so whatever.

Donaire needs to fight the winner of Mares-Moreno - and Fossil Bob needs to make it happen. :deal

The Mathebula fight did horrific numbers at HDC. They sold 2.6k tickets...while this fight nearly did 8k.

Rigo displayed awesome boxing against Marroquin, the same Marroquin that beat gary rusell jr and adiren broner. Does not mean Marroquin is the best , but shows he has competed with good opposition. Marroquin is a good young fighter, better than Mathebula.

not to mention how many tickets had to be given away. Im not saying Rigo is a ticket seller, but the arguemtn that this fight cant happen because of Rigo's inability to sell tickets is out the window, because nither can Nonito.

We're talking about the interest to the fight. Not the actual fight. There is some, but neither guy has been spectacular in their last few performances. HBO is obviously committed to Donaire(He hinted at them having a say in who he fights). They seem to like Rigondeaux too. This could be a big event if they build it correctly.

Rigondeaux has looked good in his last few performances. Yes, including against Marroquin fought a very disciplined fight and put some hurt on Marroquin, busted him up.

Maybe Donaire wants Rigo to make a name for himself first. Rigo has not been at war with big names yet. The problem here is that the Rigo express might stop early if he fought quality fighters in his division.

Actually I think is pretty even. How many PPV have Rigo been with...Nonito? It's tight.
