I have heard the Dempsey one, on his way to i think ali frazier in new york, got mugged, and knocked out both guys, was in his early 70s at the time. I also heard of eddie futch breaking the jaw of some young punk when he was in his 60s or 70s. Not sure if either is true, but anyhow?

Just the opposite happened to Emile Griffith.

He was beaten half to death in 1992, leaving a gay bar in New York City, by a bunch of thugs.

Billy Conn stopped an armed robbery when he was in his 70's. Those criminals didn't find him too featherfisted.

Dempsey was walking outside his restuarant in NYC and he was an elderly well dressed man who seemed wealthy and an easy target for muggers, they attacked him he flattened them both and they refused to get up until the police got there...BAMF

Ace Hudkins as TOUGH a fighter that ever lived flattened 4 big tough robbers while hudkins in his 60s was a night watchmen in California...Think of that...William Muldoon a champ wrestler in the 1890s, trainer of John L sullivan later in John Ls career and NYstate boxing commisioner in the 1920s called Hudkins a Neanderthal Man.....

I am not sure which, is was either Morris East or Tracey Patterson, but one of these guys knocked out three guys over a dispute over a car, I read in The Ring a long time ago so sorry for being a bit vague!

Something similar happened to Jem Mace when he was pushing 70. One of the guys ended up in a coma for a couple of days.

Even today I wouldn't wanna shake his hand for fear of him accidentally ripping my arm off, let alone fight him.

Antuofermo is another who I'd be very careful around.

There was another Dempsey incident around 1968 - he and his wife were getting into a cab. Someone tried to reach in and steal his wife's handbag. From the other side of the seat, Dempsey threw a punch and decked the would-be purse-snatcher. Dempsey then got out and gave chase for a short distance.

Well, I was at a Danzig concert (up front, general admission) and some younger guys wanted my spot. When I refused to budge one of them punched me in the back of the head. I turned around unphased and then told them it was my turn... I knocked one out with a single shot and before his friend could get to me a friend of mine kicked him in the chest

yeah..and if you take a guy coming out of a bar, who is in his 60s (but really any age would be bad) not very big, and drunk..and several guys have lead pipes, i think it is hard to expect much else.
