Say... Cleverly wins his next fight (certainty) and Bute struggles through a decision with Grachaev but decides to stay at 175, pays off Froch and signs to fight Cleverly for the WBO.

What would you think? Who would win? Does Cleverly throw from enough angles and hard enough to upset Bute or does Bute just pick him off and KO him whenever he wants?

It'd be quite interseting this. I think Cleverly not stepping up his opposition for a while when he in truth is still a prospect (forget his belt) could harm him. He's been protecting himself too much as a 'World Champion' when he didn't really have much experience anyway.

However, his style is quite good for Bute IMO. A Cleverly with some refinement and more experience in tougher fights could pose problens for Bute I reckon but at this point in time, I'd favour Bute on points.

I think Bute got more chance of beating cwappy Girl Frock in a rematch, than Clev.

If he fought Clev, it would be new territory and I think Clev would rip him a new one, like Frock did in the first fight.

If Bute takes the rematch with Frock, I think he beats him convincingly, IF he dedicates himself fully to the task.

Girl Frock is nout special, he is just asking to be exposed. But I doubt he will take those fights from now till the end of his career, not if he wants to go out on a high.

Bute would spark him, Clev has no defence and very little power.

No trolling at all. I believe what I said. I think a Bute Froch rematch is a different fight, some of you lot think Carl will go in and do the same again. But until Froch started beating him up, Bute had some success. I just don't think Bute can be as bad in a rematch with Carl. Carl is asking to be exposed, its just the way he fights.

I think Bute would have more success in that rematch, than taking on Cleverley. I reckon Cleverley would replicate what Carl did in the first fight and it would end in a similar way.

Bute Froch 2, is a different story for me, but hey ho.

I is interested in Froch vs Cleverley though. I think Cleverley does a number on him.

That's true. All Bute has to do is not get beaten up again and he's got Froch beat. Everytime Froch landed a clean shot Bute was in trouble, but I'm sure they're working on that too...

I'd like to think he can reinvent himself, he got caught napping and took to many easy fights leading up to Froch. Froch although average and nothing special, for sometime had been in there with the best. I don't think Bute can be as bad in a rematch, if he adjusted his style in order to beat Froch, I think he would do it. But you'd need to recognize and realize, that going in there to stand toe to toe and scrap with Carl Froch, is not the way to beat the man. That's Carls fight, and it plays right into his hands. Thats what Carl wants. You'd be an idiot to lower yourself down to it.

Andre Ward showed the world just how average Froch is, and how to go about beating him. You won't stop Carl, good chin, unless you crack him with a belting shot he never saw coming. But if you evolve your game around Froch, make him miss all night, in and quickly out, Froch will be caught wanting all night long.

He is so slow and stiff, Ward was getting 3-4 punches of AND getting out, while Froch was still in the process of hanging out a very very very lazy jab.

The key to beating Froch, is hand speed, boxing IQ, and good defence to get in and out unscathed. Froch will never ever beat Ward, Ward is on another level on the inside, knows all the tricks of the trade, an adjusts what is needed to take the victory, nothing more, nothing less. Some fighters don't adjust, they have 1 gear, and stick to it all career. To beat certain fighters and remain undefeated, a fighter has to admit defeat before even going through the ropes to fight the opponent. You have to evolve and change your ways and to do this, you have to be honest and admit defeat on what your not good at, so you can improve on it. If you want to keep winning.

    Andre Ward
    Floyd Mayweather
    Joe Calzaghe
