Stories of Old Ex Fighters beating up thugs or young guys?

I thought Charlie Green was a LHW. I remember hearing a story (and I may be off on the details) that he was in the audience at MSG and Jose Torres was the main event. His opponent didn't turn up and the promoter scoured the audience for a replacement and found Green. He offered him $2000 to fight Torres and Green said something like "I'll do it for $2012.50" the promoter queried the strange amount and he replied "I'm not paying $12.50 to see myself fight". He dropped Torres (no 1 contender) in the first but was stopped in the second
