How do you know? In my opinion, this fight should happen now, both bums, and both scrounging bottom of the barrel. Khan believes his own hype and Hatton and his band, think he is going to be 10 times better after 3 years out snorting coke. I fail to see why this is some sort of domestic mega fight? Why does Hatton keep saying he doesn't deserve that fight....and why are people looking at it as some sort of end of road fight for Hatton in 3-4 fights time? Considering the state both fighters are in, this is a desperate fight, that on the surface, should happen now. Not 50 years down the line.
Hatton needs time and a few scraps before facing 'name' opponents. Khan maybe down the line, but let Ricky see how it goes first.
Hatton's done. Who ever out of Brook or Khan get to him first will spark him. In his prime he would have destroyed them both. But that was a long time ago. He should have stayed retired.
Bad style matchup for Khan, He'll try jumping in and out, doing the kangaroo impression but if Hatton still has his legs he'll pin to khan on the way out, get him on the ropes where Khan looks like a fish flapping about, and destroy him on the inside
Unless Hatton now has feet like James Toney he'd have Khan where he wants him more often than not. Probably doesn't punch hard enough to lay Amir out with a single shot, but he'd work the body plenty as Lamont did and then get him out of there eventually.
Nah, but to be honest I don't think it'd take too much from Hatton to get Khan out of there. Hatton is probably what i'd call top european level puncher and Khan has a domestic level chin lol
Difficult to make a judgement at this stage until we've seen Hatton back in action and we've seen what progress Khan has made under Virgil Hunter. I hope this does happen sometime in the near future though.
Yeah lets see what kind of shape Hatton is in before making a judgement. I still think khan has more than enough potential to become a really good fighter and if not he will always be in exciting fights.
Yeah, if you can take a shot Hatton isn't laying you out. Might break the opponent down mind. Khan's chin is brutal. I thought with a bit of work on his legs he might be a bit stronger but it doesn't really appear to be the case.
Depends on how Hatton is when he comes back, namely his punch resistance. If he is anywhere near as good as he was, Hatton by mauling.
Prince Naseem wants to come out of retirement to face Hatton. Good thing for Hatton is he wont have too much trouble making weight for it.
