Rees has been improving with every fight for the last 2 or 3 years.

It seems that matchroom dont seem that interested in getting him a world title shot.

Him vs katsidis wld be epic. Very winnable fight that could be the last piece of recognition he needs. Two proper fighters.

Im sure he's being well looked after if he can afford to turn down a world title shot and 50k

I get the impression with Rees he is quite happy to extend his career a little at Euro level picking up some money along the way before hopefully giving it one last world title effort. If he loses that and lets face it, it's a tough division, there's nowhere left for him to go. The natural fight would be against Burns as it would sell well but obv that means Hearn/FW working together which won't happen!

His Euro mandatory is due tomorrow purse bids unless its been changed, Italian guy with 18kos from 20 fights, Giacon is his name.

Not sure he will want it at eight weeks notice so they may try and slip a voluntary in, Crolla is ranked and Flannigan has just crept in at number 18 as well.

Hearn said the winner of Prizefighter could fight Rees in December..

I hope it's not Flanagan though, Rees will put a beating on him.

Gethin is his mandatory for British belt, would be a decent fight.

Saw him live at the Sheff Arena against Derry Matthews. Very impressive so far, shouldn't be too long before he gets that shot. I get the impression that Eddie Hearn actually cares about his fighters.

Rees is definitely a better LW than he was a LWW, he has a compact sort of style that can trouble people and is hard to work out so I'd like to see him fight for a world title again. Would be great if he could pick up a belt and have a unification with Burns somewhere down the line!
