Bute had to drain himself down to weight last minute due to him not getting proper conditioning in during camp because of the injury. If Bute loses badly he needs to move up and try and land a fight with Campillo or Cloud IMO

Questions: do you guys think a rematch will go the distance? What would you set the over/under at?

Nothing but There are facts that aren't going to be repeated.
1 Leg problems lead to not training for few days ****ing up his plan a bit. Leg was perfectly fine later but he could had some effect in training and schedule for weight-loss.
2 Sleepless night killing himself to make weight could be avoided by a better planning. Like I said point 1 could've had an effect on this
3 Traveling and Training in another country in some gym he never been in is gonna change.
    4 Knowing your opponent better
5 Knowing better what to ask form your sparring partner. Knowing better what kind of sparring partner to choose. These would all change.
6 Your hometown full of your fans supporting you.

    And so many more.

Anyway the most important thing is if he had a poor punch-resistance because of a possible bad weight-loss schedule or a schedule gone wrong because of few unexpected events.

These thing alone if true would change everything else.

I'll give you this: Draining has a negative effect on punchresistance.

Maybe that led to Bute being wobbled by every single power shot landed by Froch. In reality we all know that Bute's chin is below average drained or not.

All the other things you state about fighting away from home is true as well. I just dont think these issues has an impact as the real issue is chin or lack thereoff.

I can understand why you Bute-stans want to see some hope I really can, but in my book a Bute win would be a monumental upset.

Take the fact that Bute wasn't doing that bad until his legs were gone every time from every shot Froch trow that night. It's unusually. I mean if Bute's chin was that bad wouldn't he be troubled by Bika, Berrio, Johnson, Zuniga who all can punch and some actually hit him with few decent ones. Also think that Bute's only time he had this kind of punch-resilience problems was when he claimed he lost weight for no reason but the food poisoning.

If that is true. Froch won't KO him second time around. A decision against Froch is hard to obtain but not impossible, Bute also can bang as Carl himself stated that It felt his power and was not surprised why he Ko'ed so many fighters.

I didn't know some of these were factors in the original fight. I have to say I really thought a lot of his defense and counter-punching going into that fight. All important factors though. These and not getting starched so early by a series of shots, so caution and strategic withdrawals over all, getting in stinging with what he can until the fight takes a rhythm other than Froch just dead set and dogged, which would favor Bute. It's going to be plain weird to watch, because you know Froch will be on the war path early all over again.

You could be right, his footwork didn't look so good as in the previous two fights.

Oh the laundry list of excuses :rofl

Pretty sad how his fans go to such lengths to make excuses, when Bute himself accepted he got beat fair and sqaure.

What will the excuses be when Froch rapes him in his own house?

    If that happens... none.

But what if it happens the other way around ?
Will you admit the possibility of those excuses being valid?

it can't because Bute will loose again against the cab driver he's fighting next.unless he has his side kick Marlon Wright with him in the ring to give him 30 counts he will be ktfo and he will retire soon after to fully concentrate on his new career: janitor at bell centre.

Bute was drained for sure. With Bika he took some hard shots but he didn't wobbled. So I stick to my theory that with ageing, Bute's body recovers more hardly from a weight loss . At LHW, Bute will do better.
