Burns wouldn't do a smidge on Rios and when he finds out his eurobum power isn't doing squat he'll resort to running. It's Chavez Jr-Lee all over again. Burns is good, but not that good beating an over the hill Mitchell doesn't prove much.

    Chavez Jr >>> Rios
    Burns >>> Andy Lee

Mitchell wasn't over the hill, he recently gave John Murray his first ever defeat, stopping him in the 8th rd in more impressive fashion than Rios did in Murray's first fight after the Mitchell loss.

    Ricky Burns UD's Rios.

You clearly must be mentally lacking, Alvarado walks through pillow-fisted Burns, KO's him in the 6th, and turns him out in the 7th. I don't even need to use emoticons, here you're terribly misguided.

burns wouldn't last 6 rounds with rios. in fact, i think burns couldn't last 10 rounds with alvarado too. with "da problem"? he has no chance as well.

Think it's a 50-50 fight, would love to see it happen.

People comparing Mitchell's and Alvarado's performances against Prescott are surely not that ignorant. Fighter A beats Fighter B, B beats C, C beats A etc. Styles make fights.

I find it quite sad when posters who I respect or have enjoyed their posts comeon and **** on Ricky Burns. He's an honest pro who's the most improved boxer in Europe. No one's claiming he's a P4P'r and as for Alvarado,Ricky hasn't fought at 140 and might never do so.
The only reason Rios is being mentioned as an opponent is because he's a small light welter.I'm certainly not knocking him and he won me a few sheckles on Saturday.
Whilst I'm not saying for sure that Ricky could win,he has the perfect style for neutralising Rios, and would be in with a good shout at the very least.

  7. Don't take any notice of that guy mate. He's a biased idiot.:bart

It's sad, because I thought Americans would like Ricky Burns. He's not one of these overhyped British fighters and there's not a more genuine guy in the game.He doesn't do the Union Jack thing(that'll be the Coatbridge upbringing:yep) and doesn't badmouth other fighters.
He's a fan's fighter and all this **** is uncalled for. There's a few hardcore Broner fans who have been decent enough to acknowledge Ricky and his achievements so all this is garbage mate.

British people? If Ricky Burns didn't have a belt you'd say he was Scottish.

Anyone Rios has beaten is better than Martinez. Martinez is a decent fighter at best.. in no way is he a quality fighter.

So if I dont think Burns can beat Rios, I know nothing about boxing? Is that your logic? Mate, I think it's you that needs a serious education in boxing.

Do you really think Burns can keep Rios away for 12 rounds? How can you be sure of that when his best win was against Mitchell?

Rios hasn't even reached his peak yet.

Who says his best win was Mitchell?
Seriously? Not trying to bait you here, but do you honestly believe that was his best win?
And are you serious when you say that anyone Rios has beaten is better than Martinez?

You actually never told me your parents are Irish. But what does that matter? Your still a Scott.

And you said that to me and I replied which then you didn't reply back to my answer. I was "slaggin him off" for avoiding Broner (when he moved up) and he's still not fighting people the same size as him. He's being fed fighters with smaller reachs that cant get near him (Broner has a bigger reach) Now, how about that?

He's in the same category as Cleverly.. a boxer with a belt that doesn't deserve it. Prove me wrong?

And **** right off with Moses. Is that the type of fighter a "world champion" should be defending against?
