uhm i think phil will try and work his standup a bit cause forrest chin is in question. If that dosent work the the takedown will most likely be there. so most likely i think it will be a standing fight and look for phil to shook near the end to win the rounds. As a huge forrest fan im taking Davis UD. This might be forrest retirement fight, that was rumored.
Forrest is the better striker but I just dont see what he can do to avoid being took down at wil by Phil Davis. Even an old, slow Tito got Forrest down almost at will. If Forrest commits to a gameplan early where he attacks the legs of Phil Davis I think he can have a better chance of keeping it on the feet where he is much more comfertable and active then Phil. Forrest has some pretty brutal leg kicks that we have forgot about.
Forrest is a good and busy striker while being tall and rangey. He is big and strong and if he isn't the better wrestler then he has a very active guard. I'd like to see the size difference first because height, reach and size could play a decent part in the striking and grappling contest.
They're both very big light heavyweights. Davis needs to work on his striking still. But I think he'll take down Forrest, control him and win a UD.
Nevermind. Forrest's knee exploded. http://espn.go.com/mma/story/_/id/8717202/forrest-griffin-ufc-155-bout-phil-davis-due-knee-injury
forest griffin beat shogun (former champ) forest griffin beat rampage (former champ) i think he cant loose btw any relation to tyson griffin ?
Is this on the JDS v Brown Pride II card?? I think Phil Davis slows the fight down, makes it a little boring perhaps, UD.
^^atsch let me guess, he was defending Takedowns in practice? atschatschatsch Why on Earth they drill **** like this after so many years, and go hard in EVERYTHING during training I will never understand. Most of the MMA World is repeating these same mistakes, how ****ing stupid.
