    Is it possible the rematch clause had no connections to the WBC whatsoever? I know if I were a fighter and had a rematch clause, I wouldn't care to include the WBC in any matter of who can invoke it, etc.

    Yes, rematch clauses are contractual. They shouldn't have anything to do with the sanctioning body itself. The WBC can order rematches, but that's a completely separate matter.

    The NYSAC doesn't conduct pre fight drug screens, so nobody would have known that Morales had clenbuterol in his system if not for USADA.

    And no one would know he had tested positive for it unless Halestormsports.com broke it.

    so basically, USADA is under the promoter's control if they would divulge a positive test or not? makes sense since they are paying USADA to do the testing.
