Opinions from mates who know nothing about boxing

    My mate used to wank all over Tyson all the time. Anyhow we hadn't spoke about boxing in years and we were in the pub last week and i was saying how i had met Tyson and he says ' Tyson wasn't that greatest who did he ever beat'

    I thought about time.

    I'm a fan of Floyd but no long ago,I was accused in the Gen of knowing **** all because I dared to suggest Ray Leonard beats him.
    I was told that in those days,"all guys had to do was stand and fight!:patsch"
    Floyd is apparently quite unique in that he uses his brain when he's fighting.

    I remember the 80's and I'm sure we were all allowed to think.Even fighters.

    And there were two of them! Narky as **** too.

    I was talking to my next door neighbour about some big fight on the telly and he mentioned how his dad used to be a boxer and beat somebody called Sugar Ray Robinson. Yeah, right...:lol:

    However, he wasn't bragging and never knew too much about boxing, so we went to Boxrec and **** me if he wasn't telling the truth! He was well chuffed seeing his dad's name on Boxrec showing a win against and albeit faded SRR.

    I was in a casino in Liverpool watching Hatton vs Pac surrounded by about 20 meat heads, including a couple uni mates who knew next to **** all about boxing, telling me how Hatton was gonna destroy him. I proceeded to lay a couple of small wagers with them. However my over exuberant celebrations didn't go down to well and to no surprise I never got my winnings :-(

    i have also a nice one.know all **** of a 'mate' assured me after lloyd honeyghan beat don curry that honeghan was then moving up to fight mike tyson.
    oh god it stills bugs me 25 years on.

    The other day some bloke was trying to convince me that Carl Froch was **** and that Ricky Burns was a better fighter!

    Mind you, his name was frank and he was Ricky's promoter.
