Higher atg ranking kessler or froch?

    Although Kessler has the head to head win, I find it hard to separate the two, in my opinion Kessler wasted a lot of time on pointless fights when he could have added some decent wins.

    Froch fairly easily IMO

    That Bute win put him over. Along with other good wins like Pascal, Johnson, Magee, Taylor, Dirrell, Abraham.

    Helluva resume.

    but kessler is a higher ranked fighter in 168lb division.

    neither are yet ATG ranking like top 100, but I would rank Froch higher if it were possible.

    Based on what? Kessler's best win is Froch, Green, Andrade

    Froch has Pascal, Bute, Abraham, Johnson, Dirrell

    Great resume for Froch but I still think Kessler is a better fighter.

    Beyer, Sartison, Lucas, Mundine you didn't mention.

    Super close. Good argument either way.

    Kessler did beat him H2H at a time where Froch was far closer to his prime.

    A past prime Kessler beat a prime Froch. Beat him at his own game, too.

    I don't think anyone can deny that Froch has the better resume. I think that Kessler is clearly a better fighter in the H2H sense. It depends on which one is more important to you when you weigh up your ATG lists; resume or H2H. For me they about break even.

    neither will make ATG on their current trajectories. Not unless they up the ante considerably in the few years left them.


    As far as ranking goes, Froch marginally higher. H2h, kessler beat him yesteryear but the order may have changed this year.
