come back in his 40's to fight camacho? after he had already stated he wouldnt be fighting past 34 after the hagler fight?? and after having lost to norris 5 years prior....
There were a few different fighters who were awe struck and inspired by what Foreman did, so they gave it a shot themselves. Little Red, Arguello, Leonard, and maybe a few others. Didn't work for anyone except Big George.
When you've made enough money not to have to fight, how do you think it feels to watch guys being lauded as stars that wouldn't be allowed in the same city as you in your prime? Glory is as addictive as crack, and boxing is one of the most unforgiving places to have one more pipe.See Ricky Hatton.
Hard for a fighter to admit when enough is enough. (Especially when they have reached the heights like SRL)
To be fair,he did tear a leg muscle as he took up weights in training for the first time. Ah **** it.Even I can't polish this turd of a performance.:-(
Don't worry -- I can't polish the turd Little Red left in the ring either, but he did not lose to a Camacho. He got his ass beat buy some club fighter nobody heard of before, or since!
