I think both fighters are a bit underrated right now (Khan is a glass jawed fraud, Alexander is a glass hearted quitter, etc). Both fighters were promising prospects whose careers took a down turn, and both are still very young. This fight could be a rejuvenation for one of them. It's a very interesting fight, and besides a Khan confidence fight there's no reason it shouldn't happen. Who do you think takes it, ESB?
At 147, Alexander takes it. He's a more intelligent fighter than Khan. Stronger and more durable, too. (I haven't seen the Bailey fight yet, by the way)
Always wondered why they never met up... Think Khan would have kicked his ass @ 140 Alexander looks good @ 147.. but Khan might too... He looks strong at that weight (Judging from sparring) Don't know really. Alexander has some dangerous weapons... But still unwatchable due to his outbursts.
I think it would be a very close fight, both guys will try to land their power shot and then hold/spin their opponent. Would be a very ugly fight with lots of screaming and grunting. Toss up.
Never thought about this fight... Hmmm I'll take Alexander. Still not sure how Khan will react to WW.
Alexander is the better all-around fighter by a good margin, I believe Devon wins this one by at least a 4 point distance. If Alexander had a bit more power to go with his speed, I could even see him stopping Khan. I must say I'm surprised Khan is leading in the poll, as it stands though 116-112 Devon Alexander.
Khan by a close but clear UD, something in the region of 7-5/8-4. Khan out speeds and out lands him, and I don't think Devon has the power to take Khan out with one big shot. The spoiling tactics that Alexander seems to have adopted as of late won't work too well against a guy like Khan either (just ask Judah). If he can keep the fight at range for long periods (which I think he can), then Amir uses his superior height, reach and speed to get the win.
