I don't like Alexander, and Brook is at least semi appealing. I'd actually like to see Brook win this fight, but duck him, cmon.

Like others have pointed out, Roid and Pac are the targets for all 140-160lbrs. Everyone wants their 10 mil +. If they see a blueprint to getting that fight, whether it's unification, moving up or down in weight, whatever, they're going that route, PERIOD.

It aint a duck, it's called financial management. :think

For Alexander, Paulie would be the next logical choice. Brook shouldnt waste his time waiting for this fight. He should look for Ricky Hatton after his comeback fight, or even go after Amir Khan. Hell, Brook should be calling out every top 10 fighter between 140-154 who sells tickets.

Surely one of those guys would be willing to go to the UK for that kind of money.

If Hearn wins the purse bid, I don't see Alexander going to Sheffield.

Not being the champion, Brook should go the US to fight. As you said, though, Brook is a bigger name in England than Alexander is in America, and I would be a little bit worried of fighting in St. Louis, considering how some recent decisions have gone there--Alexander UD12 Kotelnik & Alexander SD10 Matthysse spring to mind...

    True that.

Would you say Alexander fighting in front of a packed-out crowd in St Louis with HBO, would be the equivelant of Brook fighting in front of his packed-out crowd in Sheffield on SkySports?

I'm of the belief that the former is a more lucrative event with greater rewards for the fighters.

Yer, if I was put in Brooks position I'd have no problem fighting in America, but no chance I'd be going to St Louis. **** goes down there, no way he beat Matthysse.

I hope Alexander/Brook is made, preferably in the states as i feel Brook should be travelling and making his name over the pond.

He should be looking to win the IBF title then try and unify, forget Khan, that fight will happen anyway at somepoint... make your name and legacy... with it the money and other big fights will come.

Oh and can i just add, 29 have tried, 29 have failed, as will the next 29, there is no print coloured blue

    :bowdown
    Kell Brook quotes
"yi got, yi got schooled" to Khan
"he's like Freddy Krueger, yi cant git ridirim" about N'Dou
"gimmee 6 weeks, i'll do Pacquaio" about a Pac fight

Alexander is the champ, so can decide what he wants to do. fan base wise, brook can sell out Sheffield as much as Alexander can at st Louis

oh yeah alexander who has fought 7 straight opponents who are all better than Brook will duck Brook! hahaha madness

Brook still hasn't even beaten one B level fighter, he's a hype job. I don't like Alexander at all but he whups Brook with ease.

Brooks another one of those dudes that had potential but wasted it by spending too long beating on cans so that when he faces a legit challenge he's in for the shock of his life.

Brook doesn't want that fight. Alexander hits too hard for Kell Duck.

I agree, Rico. HBO > SkySports. Sadly, the more I muse over this potential fight and the politics, the less I see it happening. It'll probably go to a purse bid and I don't think Hearn will be willing to let it slip away. Brook is Hearn's future star, and he'll do anything to get a favourable advantage. I remember Saldivia wanted to bring Brook to Argentina and Hearn wouldn't let it happen. :yep Obviously GBP will be willing to put in a bigger bid, but I don't think they care, comparatively, as much about Alexander as much as Matchroom cares about Brook.

Prediction: Alexander will drop the belt and Brook fights for the vacant title in the spring in England.
