The stupidity in this post is all over the place.... It's besides the point if he was landing the punches he was throwing?:rofl

And yeah if Tyson vs Tyrell went the same as it did in the 1st for the whole 12 Tyson would have gotten shut out.:patsch

Khan was getting hit from the start and eventually he got hit with a shot that knocked him silly. Khan fought the same way the whole fight and finally got caught.

Oh and please show me one 3 punch combo Khan lands. Please go ahead.

There's a reason why Khan's pace drastically changed from the first two rounds to round 3. Garcia started making adjustments and Khan hadn't yet/didn't know what to do. Still, Garcia remains relatively unproven.

Keep watching the punch stats instead on the fight. Oh and one little cut that can be caused by just one punch.:rofl

Do you actually read your post after you write it down?:rofl

When Khan retires and his fans go away or are forced to shut up.

Garcia decisively KO'd Khan. So much so, that a rematch at this point makes no sense.

Landing your punches is irrelevant if throwing stops your opponent from imposing himself and landing or throwing on you. Hitting and not getting hit is the point of the game, no? My point is Khan was doing well until he decided to change his plan and get drawn in. Watch the fight again, Garcia had no answer for all Khans work behind the jab from range, it was only when Khan decided to stand there, lead with a left hook, follow up with an upper-cut and look for a KO that he got caught. Garcia did what he did had to do and he did it spectacularly, but Khan put himself in that position when he didn't need to. It was from Khan's terrible judgment that Garcia got the first KD, rather than Garcia imposing himself.

Khan never stopped Garcia from landing. Garcia was landing big shots from the opening bell.

And hit and not get hit is the name of the game but you do have to HIT the other guy. So saying that doesn't matter is dumb esp when Garcia was landing his own punches the whole fight.

all khan was doing was outhustling him by throwing more punches. all the significant work was being done by Garcia, when khan threw his pitty pat flurries he got countered by one solid shot from garcia. garcia was also investing in a lot of good body work and blocked a lot of khans power puff flurries on his guard. Garcia was composed and relaxed vs a jittery Khan that blew his load too early. yeah khan won the first 2 on workrate but Garcia was in control and setting traps and by round 3 it was game over. garcia beats khan 10 out of 10 too smart and powerful for him.

That is so often the case. Is there any fighter whose skills get more overrated that Amir Khan?

It's amazing how many think his speed means he has skills. For a world class fighter, his actual skills are poor.

He's just a fast guy with some range and a nice jab. Poor footwork and balance, not accurate (save me the Compubox crap). His combos are only well-placed and deliberate on occasion, they are far too often just flashy little shoe-shines. He fights far too much like a programmed robot instead of a fluid boxer. His defense consists of moving away or covering up. People say bull**** like "if only he had a chin"....yeah, and ring IQ, defense, balance, accuracy, footwork, etc....He can scarcely throw a right hand without practically falling towards his opponent b/c his balance and composure are so poor.

For some reason, people watch him throw some sloppy combos and look at his speed and think he is something special. He is a decent title-holder/champ in a poor era, nothing more, nothing less. That's a good feat considering where he was four years ago, but it's still absolutely laughable how badly some of his groupies overrate him or don't understand the concept of actual technical skills. My co-worker is the epitome of a casual fan and the first thing he said to me after watching him fight was "he seems very sloppy and all over the place when he fights"

Garcia was not landing much, but whenever he lands, Khan is bothered.

Khan is landing a ton, but it nowhere discouraged Garcia.

That is the gist of it ------ true story.
