    How far can he go?

    His contract runs out sometime next year i beleive, whether he decides to turn pro at that time is another matter. Also When do you think the best time for him to turn pro will be?

    Domestic/European, although World depending on the state of the division when he gets there. So I can't really vote.

    Totally average for me, got gifts in the Olympics, in fights I thought he lost considerably.

    Big guy, doesn't mean great boxer.

    When Audley Harrson won his Olympic gold medal, he separated himself from the pack and clearly the best superheavyweight. Anthony Joshua, was gifted his first fight and scrapped afew of the others, in a era we probably have the best amateur set up and support in the world.

    Anthony Joshua is a big guy, and if can take a punch, and hits pretty hard! These days this can get you along way in boxing, if you know your way around the ring, at 6"6 240+ pounds!

    Good point, I think alot of it depends on when he decides to turn pro, if he decides to stay amateur until the 2016 olympics then turn pro lets say he takes 3-4 years to climb the HW division it'll be 2020 none of todays top heavyweights will be aroud even Tyson Fury will be 32, but then again the likes of Ivan Dychko and Erislandy Savon could also make good proffesionals.

    True Harrison stopped Lezin and beat Masikin, Vidoz and Dildabekov by very wide margins, they didn't have a look in. Audley was a fantastic amateur.

    If he times it he could be world champ, but in any other era, he would fall by the way side and just be "another fighter"

    He is a physical specimen thats for sure, but to me, he is average in the ring.

    Who was that black dude he fought in the olympics, was it semis or quarters? Cuban was he? or was he from Trindad? I can't remember his name, he got robbed. And an argument can be made for the final to! :good

    it was the 1st round, Erislandy Savon of Cuba, nephew of the great Felix Savon who won 3 olympic gold medals at heavyweight, he has amazing potential.

    Yeh thats the guy! I thought he whooped Joshua.....but home crowd and judges and all that. :nut

    Joshua wasn't the only one to get gifts, it was very bias judging IMO.

    I was constantly getting told how good Anthony Joshua is by the "olympic spirit" media. But I honestly failed to see why they rated him so highly.

    I'd like for AJ to prove me wrong, but deep down, I smell another Audley Harrison in the pro-game.

    He seems nice, almost to nice. :hey

    I was very releived as i put £100 on Joshua to win a gold medal :lol: The proud brit in me says he won all 4 fights :nut but my brain tells me he definetly lost that first fight to Savon and the final against Camarelle could have gone either way.

    Voted world title contender, if he signs with a good promoter and is managed properly he should get there. Winning one is another thing though, will have some good competition at world level

    It was a horrible moment and i vowed never to bet that much money again, i guess i got caught up in all the hype :patsch when i heard Camarelle's team challenged the decision i hastily collected my winnings online incase they were succesful in their appeal. :lol:
