Why do Boxing experts rate Tyson Fury BUT fans don't?

    Adam Booth tweeted last week, that he'd favour Tyson Fury to beat David Price if they fought now.

    Emanuel Steward rates Tyson Fury as the best young heavyweight and the most likely heir to the Klitschkos throne when they retire, and he has met and spent time with both Fury & David Price.

    In Boxing News this week, they asked 4 experts who you would pick if Price fought Fury and 1 went with Price, 1 went with Fury and 2 were 50/50.

    YET ...

    If you were to post a poll on this forum it would be 85/15 in Price's favour :huh

    What is that Boxing experts see quite clearly in Fury/ worry about with Price - that the average fans can't notice??

    Because fans pick a fight based on their hearts and not their brains. Fans will pick the flavor of the month and the other guy, if they cant stand the one they want to lose.

    Thats why.

    In other words: I haven't got a f*cking clue who wins, why are you watching me?

    I don't see how people pick Fury tbh. The one advantage he had was chin but he's been getting bounced around the ring by midgets lately.

    I was surprised by Booth tweeting that.

    Price hurt Haye in sparring (in Hayes book). We've not seen Price in a gut check in the pro's yet and Fury has fought better opposition.

    50/50 fight for me at the moment

    Price just looks a far tidier boxer to me, a lot less flawed.

    Fair enough regarding Steward as he looks after Tyson's cousin.

    But Booth used to promote AND coach Price!

    And then when you get the guys they had in Boxing News this week - and other previously it goes beyond an anomaly and seems to be the considered 'professional opinion' that at best, Price has his work cut out.

    Yet fans seem to think it will be a gone in 60 seconds/ Fraudley match.

    Fury isn't Harrison. He's nearly 20 years younger, taller than price, a stone heavier and doesn't mind getting hit :lol:

    AND

    has put Price on the floor for a count when he was only a teenager and Price was older than Fury is now.

    This has to be a HUGE consideration tbf

    At the end of the day pundits in every sport get things wrong. The ones who are right more often than not are the best.

    People are entitled to their opinions, especially when they've been formed from what they've seen with their own eyes. I think Price will beat Fury fairly easily based off what I've seen of them both. Just because someone in the sport disagrees with me, it's not going to change my opinion on it.

    Well the bookies currently have it:

    Price - 4/11
    Fury - 3/1

    They're usually a fair reflection on the overall thought of how a fight would go.

    Steward thought Andy Lee was going to be the best thing since sliced bread.

    Price should be favored. He's showed a lot more talent wise. Fury's showed a few more characteristics in that he's ground out a 12 round decision and got off the canvas heavily, but skill/athleticism people are more impressed by Price and rightly so.

    Fury lost to McDermott first time round. A lot of people saw it that way.
