Fights you have been completely wrong about!

I wouldn't say so. At the time DeGale had destroyed Paul Smith in very convincing fashion whilst Groves had looked poor in beating Anderson. Looking at both since it's easy to see Groves is the better fighter.

In response to OP I don't really call fights, as I am new-ish to boxing so try to just take it all in. But I do have a habbit of buying First Class tickets for the hype train and start to nut hug certain fighters.

And lastly, anyone saying Hatton Mayweather, watched that back recently and Hatton was really in the fight until he lost that point. I think the way it ended made people look back at it as a total domination, which it really wasn't.

 

ODHL vs Money thought oscar was going to grind out a victory.

 

Froch vs Bute
Hatton vs Mayweather
Mitchell vs Katsidis - predicted close fight
Groves vs Degale

 

Yet before them 2 fights you mentionned, Groves had been favoured by many after stopping Adamu whereas Degale hadn't fought anyone. Just goes to show you how fickle boxing fans are.

Even still, 14-1 on Groves was massively overpriced.

 

One that hasnt been mentioned yet that i got massively wrong was Pavlik/Hopkins. I honestly thought Pavlik was going to stop the old timer, way off target with that pick.

 

Hatton v tyszu. I thought Hatton would be stopped after a good effort.

 

Pac - JMM - I thought Pacquiao won every one of those fights. I was wrong...or was it an Arum backhander to ****ed up Vegas judges?

Burns vs Martinez, I thought Ricky would get stopped within 6.

I thought Tony Dodson would beat Paul Smith too.

 

There's been a lot of fights that haven't gone the way I thought they would. But one that really springs to mind from recently is Chisora and Haye to be honest. I thought Chisora would be able to stand up to Haye's power and then he'd get to David in the second half of the fight.

I was VERY wrong.

Even though i dislike Khan i honestly thought he would do a job on Peterson and wipe the floor with him but, there you go.

and I honestly thought david haye was going to be Wlad and again even doing an interview on sky sports twice saying haye would do it in 6 rounds. looked like a cabbage :/
