Give him time to breath. Garcia just got on the scene by beating Morales who gave him a good fight the first time around then clocking Khan and now beating for the second time a faded Morales. Right now, hands down Cotto with what both have accomplished at 140. Let us see what transpires in the near future for Garcia. I like him, but I am not completely sold on him yet until I see better competition which is coming up.

Cotto was shaky at 140 and a huge left hook might of sent him into oblivion :). At 147 Cotto kills him though

Cotto was in some very exciting fights at 140 because making the weight was very difficult for him. His body attack was relentless and would have hurt Garcia, but Garcia would likely hurt Cotto with a left hook at some time during the fight.

I'll take Cotto to win behind his jab and body work, but it wouldn't be a cake walk.

Miguel Cotto at 140 lbs could be hurt but always came back to win, he would apply pressure and using the jab and left hook to the head and body would likely lead to a points win for Cotto.

Torres is hell to a lot of 140 pounders. And what a great victory that was for Miguel finishing it like he did. Cotto destroys Garcia. :bbb

Pretty much this. The two punches that Cotto is vulnerable to, Garcia doesn't have which is the overhand right and uppercut. The punch that Garcia is vulnerable to which is the jab, Cotto has and would pick him apart with.

A well trained Torres yes, but a 2 week notice? No. Garcia has been lookin great and will continue to do so at that weight, on the other hand Cotto looked weight drained and green at 140, I'll pick Garcia in a fansty match up but it would had been a war that's for sure.
