What is your point? What if Rigo is found out to have plaster?

**** what ifs, lets go by what we know. Rigo is a great talent who is in the same division as Donaire. Donaire has only a few options left since Moreno and Mares are with GBP. I'm not saying Donaire is ducking, but if you think Rigo is not worthy, then it's you who DKSAB.:deal

What a pathetic thread. I don't remember anyone considering Rigondeaux great yet, the man has 11 fights only.

I agree. I don't think Mares or Moreno will happen anytime soon since both are with GB. However, those two and Donaire do have an end to their contract, I just don't know how long they are.

Poonsawat is still a great fight at 122 for whoever wants it. Although the outcomes to almost every fight at 122 with Donaire is seen as predetermined, a rematch with Darchinyan isn't completely pointless. If he wants to clear house, I'd give credit for Ndlovu, Bakhtin, and Terrazes...

Yes I'm well-aware of what a bad card that was. Still, since we're so deeply concerned about keeping Donaire's resume at its most pristine, we should all be grateful that Vazquez Jr didn't retire after that fight, as that awful card would look even worse.

  10. He is not considered great.

Got some potential, but still a long way to go

Why are people always trying to discredit Rigo?.......All the guy does is work hard & just wants to fight the best.Nonito is no bum & neither is Rigo.Forget the cubans great amateur record. Why don't we compare nonito & rigo first 11 fights as a pro.Nonito:5 guys with losing rec, 2 more debuting, lost to a guy 2-1 for overall 10-1 rec.Had it been rigo who lost to a guy 2-1 all hell would break loose.Rigo: Fought guy 70 fights(59-11) in 3rd bout, beat former champ 37-2 in 7th fight,8th bout KO'd undefeated prospect casey in his hometown(1st rd),stopped undefeated champ to win first title in 9th fight,10th fight fought only guy who wanted a shot a title & knocked him down 5x,11th fight defended his title against a younger/bigger dangerous prospect in Marroquin who beat broner/russel jr twice that's got to count for something.I'm not arguing Rigo has one of the greatest pro resumes ever or that it's better than nonito overall but cut the guy some slack I don't remember the last fighter that won a title with under 10 fights.Rigo is not fighting bums,Like he said if they think he's an amateur an it's an easy title to take he welcomes all competition yet nobody in the top 10 wants him.& no I'm not suggesting nonito is scared they're both good fighters.

Why does Rigo have to earn it, but Vasquez Jr and Mathebula don't.

  15. They did earn it, and they fought better standard of opponents than Rigo.

Many good fights out there for Rigo, why doesn't he take some?
