**** thread, Ortiz got a belt and fought Mayweather, Clottey fought Pacquiao, if you got a belt you deserve to fight another belt holder if they want the fight aswell, if Floyd wanted Malignaggi's belt he could fight him nothin to do with deserve it they both got world titles, n skillwise Rigondeaux is one of the best boxers alive you can see that by watchin him it would be one of Donaire's best wins. GGG aint done **** yet n people sayin Martinez is scared of him

Poonsawat's legit, but the ironic thing is that in terms of rank placement, he's closer to gaining the chance to fight Rigo than he is to fighting Nonito.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Rigo-Poon come off instead, especially if Quigg and Monroe butt heads again like they did in their eliminator the first time around.

Also wouldn't surprise me if Rigo-Poon happens alongside Nonito vs whomever on a BAD card early in the year. Methinks GBP is smart enough to build this up to the point where it becomes an anticipated event for all boxing fans- not just those who follow the lower weights.

You are so clueless, Rigondeaux will be remembered not only for his two Olympic Gold medals but because he is the only 122 lbs that won a Belt in his 8 pro fight, he make History, I can give you Stevenson and Savon and they never fought in the pros, and remember that Rigondeaux didn't turn pro earlier because he is from Cuba just do a little be of research, Nonito is full of crap.

That 5'2 midget was a 35-0-2 unbeaten two weight champ with 16 title defenses of his Flyweight title and 5 defenses AND COUNTING of his Super Flyweight title.

That's 22-1-1 in title fights........ But yeah Doanire was a joke for fighting him.:rofl:rofl:rofl

Half these Rigo nut huggers were saying dumb **** like "If Doanire can even get past Nishioka, Rigo will KO him easily.".

Now Nishioka is a bum that was just there for a pay check.

Ten pages most of bull**** but still no one has made one agrument that Rigo has earned a title shot.

Why do Rigo fans not want him to fight good fighters? Why would they rather see him fight a tomato can on Dec 8th and then run his mouth that DOnaire is ducking rather then fighting a big name and actually pushing for the fight?

Why is it that the only person Rigo can step up against is Donaire?

It's really funny that they keep discrediting the Narvaez win.

When in fact the guy is a two weight champion and has a long reign at 112.

And they keep insisting Donaire was too big, yeah right, Donaire weighed in 118 lbs in the weigh in right? The fight was contracted at bantamweight. Never mind that Donaire himself fought at 112 as well. :patsch

Were either of those title reigns at bantam? Which bantams would you pick him over? If it was such a quality win, why was Donaire -2000 before the fight? Why is it irrelevant to bring up size since Donaire rehydrated to 131 by the time he went to bed before the fight? Finally, does Pacquiao starting at 108 mean it's okay for him to fight someone from that class today?

Also the Sidorenko win. Guy beat Agbeko, Poon, was robbed twice vs Cordoba and was a long reigning champ at 118. He only lost his title to Moreno who only managed to win two extrememly close fights. Two fights later Doanire destroys him in 4 rounds and no one even ackknowledges that win. But now Moreno is the greatest thing since sliced beard but he hardly managed to beat Sidorenko.

Doanire has the RJJ virus. Everyone he beats gets bum-itis because of how easy he makes it look.

So Morales should never get any credit for beating Pacquiao because all his previous reigns are below 130 lbs?

    That's how your logic applies.

Since when is it frowned upon to fight a champion at the weight class under yours? If it's a good fight its a good fight., On paper it was a good fight but Narvaez fought defensive and Doanire won every minute so Doanire gets no credit.

But beating Teon Kennedy? That's future P4P stuff right there. Top level work.:good

It was never a good fight on paper because Narvaez never belonged at bantam and Donaire had pretty much outgrown the division. That the odds were so ridiculously lopsided for Donaire before the fight should tell you that it wasn't a good fight on paper. Moreno would have been a MUCH better opponent and that's irrefutable.
