Bradley is hardly a ticket seller either but Alexander does do good numbers at home.

 

He will vacate, Its been the plan all along. Bring Brook up on a steady diet of bums earn the mandatory shot then go all in on the purse bid, if Bailey is the champ he'll come over and get slapped around if Alexander's the champ he'll Vacate because he's chicken **** and Brook can fight some chump for the vacant title

 

:good It's a myth that he's not a draw. People end up believing that **** as well.

I'm a Floyd fan,but sadly,Alexander is almost an archetypal prospective opponent for Floyd.
That's a real possibility when you think about it.Anyone who wins a belt at 147 is gonna chase the pension fight against Floyd.:-(

Yeah im a floyd fan too, things look as i thought : Alexander winning the title to be a cheap two weight champ and then vacating

 

Again,I'm only asking,but I'm sure one of the fights I mentioned only did about 3k in a five-figure capacity stadium.Can anybody put me right on this?
Not saying he doesn't have a decent hometown following but it's not on the same level as say,Brook or maybe even Guerrero.

Whenever he's fought in his home state he's drawn a good crowd.

It was the Bradley fight that was in a massive arena in the middle of nowhere and that was a massive failure at the gate. Bradley wanted it held somewhere neutral (he doesn't even sell tickets at home).

 

Yeah.Pontiac Silverdome if I'm not mistaken.Even SRL-Duran 1 and 2 failed to fill stadiums,so that's no big thing.
As I said,not sure if it was Maidana or Matthyse,but sure I heard a comment about empty seats or poor sales.I'm sure he does OK though if people are saying it here.Just think he's a fairly poor draw in the grand scheme though.

 

He's not as bad as Berto or Dawson who sell **** all tickets. Paul Smith draws bigger crows than those two combined and that's no exaggeration.

Devon might not be a massive draw but there's not many of them in the US these days so to even sell 6/7k tickets in your home town is decent.

The thing is, even if he's a crap draw Showtime can still offer the kind of money Sky can't. This is what they paid for the Alexander/Bailey fight.

Is that who he will have to fight if Devon vacates? Not a bad fight, but would rather see Alexander vs Brook

 

The title makes no sense, if that is indeed what he says, since quite obviously they'd have no choice but to vacate or come to England should Hearn win purse bids.

I agree with Rob, I could see Hearn having a trick up his sleeve here. If Brook grabs a belt he becomes a real commodity. I think he'll really back this one and win the purse bids.

 

Hearn can go silly with the purse bids because Alexander won't travel to fight. If Hearn wins, Alexander will vacate and Brook will have a much easier hometown world title fight.

 

Pretty sure Hearn paid $2million to get Bute over. I reckon the same would get Alexander to the UK for a "tune up"
