I don't know man, it will be strange for him going back to his corner and not having Manny there inbetween rounds, and it will be strange for me to see it, I was gonna do a technical write-up about the Wach/Wlad fight but there seems little point now Wlad has shown if anything in his fights and career he's mentally very resiliant, so I won't expect it to effect him on the night, though I will imagine his intro will feature some sort of Steward Montage and perhaps a teary-eyed speech at the end of the fight.
He recovered from two devastating KO defeats earlier in his career, to come back and become one of the best P4P fighters today.. I say that takes some guts
I think he'll be alright, but things like this can go either way really bad or great motivation. We'll see when he fights Wach, He's a true professional.
Huge Wlad fan here but I think he will crumble eventually. Wlad will propably get through Wach but will crumble once again and the final time. IMO with out his master he might be there for picking. Lets see...:think
Wlad will do what Manny always wanted him to do, knock the guy out. Wach is in more trouble than he anticipated [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJ6Srljcbsc[/ame]
Vlad has been with Emmanuel for almost 10 years.....................he will fight for Manny's spirit, Wach will pay. I suspect Vlad will do what Manny would have wanted, knock Wach out!!!!!!!
he'll punish Wach. He'll then continue on successfully as long as he cares to. Manny straightened him out.
Lennox Lewis is one of the few who could do that too. It took George foreman 13 years to recover from the Ali KO, and he is still somewhat bitter. Most fighters are never the same again after their first loss. Especially not early ktfo kind of losses.
I hope he puts on a mature performance and doesn't let Manny's death make him fight emotionally. It would be tragic if he were to lose this fight due to Manny's passing.
I hope the exact opposite. The HW division would be far more interesting if Waldo finally took another loss.
I would have agreed with you before Manny died, but not now. Wlad is too good a person to deserve that so soon after the death of his trainer and close friend. I wouldn't blame him if he pulled out of the fight at this point.
I suspect he pulls out of the Wach fight. Especially considered his whole team were really close to Steward. Banks who's supposed to be his main man in the corner looked up to him as father figure having known him since he was 14. I really don't know how they would cope with the likely minutes silence just prior to a huge World title fight.
