I had it 8-4 DeLaHoya, and I'm neither a fan nor a hater of either fighter.

 

Couldn't the TS's logic be applied just as well to Marquez in the third Pacquiao fight? I mean NOT ONE of the judges gave him the fight, and neither did reliable ol' Harold. That means he clearly didn't deserve to win.

 

Sometimes Harold's cards are awful, other times he is spot on...Harold does not like boxing (moving, running as some would call it) he prefers aggression (sluggers, guys throwing power shots with their feet planted), so it is quite obvious why he would score rounds for Trinidad.

 

I don't recall JMM shamelessly running for dear life from Pacquiao for the last 1/3rd of the fight...

 

i agree on the draw, gave Tito 2 of the 1st 8 and then had Tito sweep 9 on

i think neither deserved the W

Tito got out boxed early and then Oscar packed it in

im not sure if he was tired from the high activity pace he set or if Titos power got to him and made him fight in cruise control

Harold Lederman is the same as Larry Merchant. I don't understand why or how people can give any credence to his cards.... ever.

You're right, we should automatically distrust the decision in Pacquiao-Marquez because of Arum, but should completely trust the decision in Oscar-Tito because the fine and upstanding Don King was involved in the promotion.

 

I agree with some of the posters that said Oscar could have done more. Maybe he was gassing more than it looked. I don't know, seems like he could have pushed harder. I think that Oscar really is the one who did the robbing. He robbed his fans, his team, and mostly just himself by giving the fight away with less than a 100% effort.

Oscar landed more punches in the 9th, threw more punches, and landed the harder punches.

Haven't seen this fight since the original broadcast. I remember thinking Oscar got jobbed at the time. Even though he did run at the end. I'm interested in seeing if I'd think any different now if I was to watch it again.

 

Lederman also had Castillo beating Mayweather, Do you Mayweather dick suckers agree with that?

 

I thought de la Hoya won the 9th. Not because he ran like a *****, but because Tito barely land a punch.

 

this might have been the worst fight i've ever seen. i had it 8-4 for oscar. i like lederman but i'll disagree with him here. at least he didn't have tito winning. this decision and oscar's decision to retreat at the end cost him big historically imo. this loss might have cost him the fighter of the decade award that was eventually won by roy jones. people need to remember what a beast tito was at 147. one of the best ever at that weight.
