Jesus Christ it's clearly Broner. He's exciting, talks trash puts on a show and produces KOs. Ward on the other hand is the most boring fighter of the last 40 years. He puts people OFF boxing. His fights are generally unwatchable. Nobody gives a **** about seeing Ward.
As of right now, Andre Ward is the bigger draw. he sells a great crowd in Oakland in comparison to Broner in Cinci who also sells a good crowd. Broner might be that next dude. but Ward is selling more tickets and gets more recognition at the moment. but they both have the streets buzzing. i have talked to alot of friends and family that are casual fans, and they pretty much all know them pretty well, but most like Broner more than Ward. Ward is the type that will get Bhop fame, everyone will know him, watch him and respect him, but not many will pay PPV to see him. Broner has the crossover celebrity type of future and wouldnt surprise me if he was on PPV in the future. he's just gotta keep winning.
Broner hasn't even been in with a B level fighter yet, and he's doing bigger numbers. His numbers against an absolute can like Escobedo, with a horrible undercard, out did any Ward fight. Now he's in with a top 3, hell maybe the best lightweight in the world? He's going to be an enormous draw. Personality sells.
I don't think Broner and Pavlik really appeal to the same demographic in Ohio though.... I mean you haven't seen booradley or RustBelt making hundreds of posts in defense of Broner yet.
The most boring fighter in the last 40 years? Let's stop with the exaggerations. No matter what Ward does, you're never going to give him credit for anything. This isn't about Ward being "boring" this is about you not liking Ward (for whatever reason).
Broner has better power and a big mouth - that's the difference and that's why he'll be the bigger draw
