But it's not like there's nobody in charge of the place when Manny's absent. There are people who run the gym when he goes to vegas to call fights or when he goes the germany to work Wlad's corner. Those people have been doing this for years, are you saying they can't be trusted with the memorabilia?

    Oh that's ****ed up.

Can't imagine what the fighters there must feel like, I hope it's temporary.

What the ****. She's either a seriously dumb ***** or is mentally going crazy.

Why in the hell would you do that?

I don't think she is safeguarding it from those people, just the people in the area of the new gym.

If you go on wiki, there was talk of them moving Kronk back to revitalized Detroit, maybe she is getting the process started earlier.

Whatever the reason, i doubt she is just going to just the place down or is doing so just to be vindictive.

A lot of dirt and **** comes out when people die and I don't blame her for getting on top of the situation and protecting the interests of her family and recently departed brother from would be scavengers.

Agree, she's doing what she believes to be right, in terms of protecting her brother and his things.

People might start stealing, but your idea of a security detail would be a good way to stop it.

I don't know. Hard subject. If she has complete ownership of the gym then she has every right to do what she wants with it. If Manny himself greenlighted for her to take over we should respect his trust in his sister. It's easy to suspect selfish tendencies when you don't know her but I can see why she's closing the gym (temporarily?) to prevent vandalism from turning a sacred place into a pig sty.

Manny said that people thinks he has money but he really doesn't but he enjoyed giving his attention to the next boxing star that would train and come from his gym so he did love his community so why not keep his pride going in keeping his gm open and I understand taking some memorabilia but the ring and sign that is a way to keep his legacy going

No she's talking about people in the gym :

"There are people in the gym -- scavengers -- who would try and take everything out of my brother's gym,"

Which is disrespectful towards either the staff or the people who train there. If she's worried about thieves why not put the memorabilia in a safe at night?

    How is it disrespectful?
You don't know the people in the gym better than she does.

How do you know she isn't perfectly right in describing how those people are.

Why put the memorabilia in a safe every night, when she can just remove it from the premises and let the people who want to be there to box continue to do so after it is re-opened?

Effectively it's her gym, I can respect her wanting to protect and
or safeguard her brothers handi-work. It is Detroit. I don't know
how many people have family there (i do) but I can see
people coming in stripping Kronk **** just to say they have it.

I don't usually agree with your scoring of fights. But you're talking nothing but sense right now.
