Met Maravilla Martinez!

    Hey guys, i met Maravilla Martinez tonight! at a boxing event he put together here in Tenerife.

    He's a very approachable guy and much taller than i expected. I asked him about his knee and told him that he should go after canelo next.

    he replied that his knee is doing well and that he's definitly aiming for canelo.

    what do you guys think about the canelo fight?

    I'm a little interested in Sergio's ability to comfortably cut down and make 154 after having not done it in almost 4 whole years. At what point is he then considered a corpse if he goes down in weight and the win is discredited (ala Oscar or Dawson, who hadn't moved down to 147 and 168, respectively, for 7 years)?

    Even if he makes it very comfortably, I think Canelo gives him problems (I think Canelo gives everyone at 154 problems, honestly). He is leagues ahead of JCC Jr. and Sergio's domination of him doesn't hold too much significance against Canelo, whose intelligence and counter punching blow JCC Jr.'s out of the water.

    i'm around 6'2 and wasn't all that much taller. maybe it was his shoes.
