After Skelton who does Price fight?

I might have got it wrong. It might have been Chisora he got handled easily by.

 

Thing is with Price, he has done everything right pretty much when he has fought but he has fought pretty weak opposition. We know the things he does well but he hasn't been in with anyone good enough to really test him and expose his weaknesses as of yet so he's still an unknown quantity at the top level. Definitely needs to step it up after Skelton but I can see him having another 3-4 pretty easy fights with Maloney.

 

He doesn't have to fight for the British back to back, he can throw in other opponents between title defences

 

Not sure when the session was but Pricey was in one of the mags recently (BN or Monthly) and he said he has sparred guys like Odlanier Solis, Kubrat Pulev and Albert Sosnowski and the one who impressed him the most was Pulev. He said Sosnowski wasn't up to much lol.

 

Won't this Skelton fight get him the Lonsdale outright? Thought it changed to
win it plus two defences from win it and three defences? Remember Paul Smith
saying he needed one more win when Degale/Groves beat him.

 

Sounds like a bull**** rumour ive read numerous articles stating they were 50/50 in sparring and thats coming from Price and Pulev.

 

I hope your right mate, ive heard its still 3 defences.

 

I'm probably wrong but I'm not sure whether that was because Smith won the belt off the champion Quigley whereas Price won the vacant belt.

 

Isn't it 4 wins now?..

 

I'd like to see Price in with Solis next. Needs to step up.

Is David Price abit of a **** house..? the way he keeps saying, in a 18 months time i may be ready for a Kiltschko.

The Monte Barrett that David Haye beat was better than any fighter Price has fought.

He needs to go beyond domestic level now.

 

I know it's a long shot and he's old as hell and shot to **** but what about letting Price fight David Tua? He's got an iron chin and he's a half decent fighter.. Better than Audley, Skelton and Sexton put together.
Whoever said Odlanier Solis is maybe on to a good thing. Solis is probably the best pure boxer in the Heavyweight division, it's a shame he's a ****ing fat useless sack of ****.

Not that it would have taken much, but the wind has truly been taken out of Price's sails for his fight with 47 year old doorman Skelton with Fury fighting unbeaten, young and dangerous Boystov the following day in an eliminator :yep

I can imagine that what little exposure boxing gets in the mainstream media that week will focus heavily on the Fury fight.

And quite rightly so :good

The Price fight will almost certainly be totally ignored or just be a footnote at the bottom of some of the Fury stories.

As somone mentioned earlier, if Fury beats Boystov and with the Chisora win also on his record - despite being 5+ years Fury's senior Price will be seen as lagging a long way behind and lacking credibility.

The Price vs Skelton fight has now actually become a lose/lose fight.

Win a in a round or two and it's a pathetic match up, Price is an OAP basher/ Can opener etc.

If the fight lasts any longer than 4 or 5 rounds it also becomes very damaging.
