Do you ever feel bad for boxers who make a living from this sport?

they chose this way of life for most it aint even about the money

 

some guys take beating to make some money, you've got to feel sorry for them

 

do you feel bad for people who spend 10 hours a day sitting in their offices but never testing themselves in life?

living comfortably and being happy in life are defined individually

"the dangers involved" are why some people choose adrenaline sports, often because the real dangers for them are having that office job....

people get one chance at life - and the cliche of getting an education and a 'safe' job is further away from 'living' than the character you gain from learning to fight

some people go through their whole life being afraid of confrontation and getting hit, so for me any 'success' they have achieved by accumulating $$ is watered down by their inability to overcome their fears

"risking your health" doesnt need to be a death wish

 

A lot of these guys, the journeymen, have full time jobs. A lot of them box for extra income. It's their choice at the end of the day.

 

whats worse is fighters not wanting fellow fighters to earn a living from the sport ,spiteful and sad imo, and there every where in boxing today a lot of them in britain

 

i dont those guys make money and thats all they know how to do. so if you took that from them then you take your life. not every fighter will become a boxing god like floyd but you still can make living or earnings off the sport. i know few people that if you take them out of the gym aint no telling what type of **** they would get into.so i dont feel sorry for them
if they love to box and get paid for it then thats good enough. how often do we get paid to do something we love ?

 

I don't envy them. Pro boxing is not something I would do unless I was earning very good money, too many risks involved. I don't feel bad for them either, they have a choice.

 

They're doing something they love as a job, which can't be said for many people.
