Proof boxing is the hardest sport in the world. Any other profession a guy with his talent would be that millionaire player that has great nights and doesn't show up some other nights. In boxing he's a guy whose career is on the rocks and would be over if he takes another hard KO loss in his next couple of fights. Nobody plays boxing.

This is the major issue with fans, You are everything, or nothing. Messed up as there are many talented not-great but good contenders out there. Khan is one of them. He has solid power and a good workrate but defense and physical endurance is a major issue that I assume he is working on with a solid technical trainer such as Virgil Hunter. That is the way things are. Khan holds wins to solid contenders, Kotelnik, Maidana, Judah and nearly and very, very possibly Peterson. All of which are well respected fights, No fuc*in way he is " mediocre. "

While I don't like Khan's world beater outlook he can grant himself nor the over-the-top praise local fans give him but that is Amir Khan. He is what he is.

Khan is a world class fighter. People toss that term around without really contemplating the meaning. Khan will literally beat almost any fighter in the world.

He also shows that while boxing is hard in itself, it becomes much more difficult if you do not learn and grow your skill set. Many fighters with technical deficiencies have been able to check their egos and learn, Khan needs to do the same.

about as correct as can be. Looks unplayable one fight....., totally vulnerable the next. The criticism he gets from his 'in ring' antics are a disgrace. Yes he has a lesser than average chin but hes also stood up to shots he had no right to. My problem with him is his PR. if he came across like a the bloke down the road he wld be adored......his heart is top, top level. Its just that every so often he says something that any other person wld stop themselves blurting. Hes a draw and gifted....... He can turn it around. Just needs to start helping HIMSELF a bit.

Khan is far from mediocre but let's be real, his chin is a terrible liability. I hate all chincheckers on ESB with passion, but you can't deny that his punch resistance is so poor that basically any boxer with reasonable punching power will stand a chance of beating him. If a single clean punch is enough to make you throw your gameplan out of the window, your future in boxing ain't particularly bright, sadly. I have never seen an elite boxer (and skill wise he is top-notch, let's no kid ourselves) with such a dodgy chin.

Talent wise the disparity between him and Garcia is ****ing landslide in Khan's favour but you can't go 12 rounds against A-level opposition without getting hit square. It has happened twice now and it is bound to happen again when he shares the ring with a hard hitting LWW.

Boxing IS hard. I doubt Khan will ever be the undisputed top guy in his division, but he's far from mediocre.

Khan is a very good fighter who is by no means 'medicore'.
What hinders Khan is that instead of using his speed and very good jab on the outside, he has a tendency to get involved in a tear up. This doesn't help him at all as his punch resistance isn't top notch and I'm yet to see him fight effectively on the inside when it's been asked of him.
One of the most exciting fighters around and still a very good fighter.

He's more suited to the amateurs than the pros. He hasn't adjusted well at the pro level.

Notably against hard hitting boxers that bring the FIRE.

He needs to really sit down on those punches and do some damage instead of scoring pitty pat shots. Also he has to be mindful the head gear is off.You can't throw at will, end the combination with an uppercut from way out and expect to get away with it in the pros.
