I would love to recieve it as a present, but there are a million things I'd rather spend that money on.
Auction (Dave's Boxing Collectibles I think; get old Ring mags off of him as well). Got it with a signed photo of Luis Manuel Rodriguez as well. Don't go for the more 'commercial' stuff like signed gloves, doesn't interest me, just stuff that isn't too common that if I pass up the opportunity it's gone.
I collect signed gloves, fight worn stuff, fight programs, posters, wire photos, tickets, mostly from 60 and 70s.
I have a large collection of ring and boxing illustrated from the 60's. Also several ring bound volumes and some 1938 ring mags in fair condition.
I have at least 35 career sets, a couple of trading cards and some early/mid 90s magazines. I wanna collect fight posters.....
It's so much better to be a fan of lesser known fighters, you can find some really cool stuff at a pretty good price because chances are not many people would bid on it because they aren't aware of them. For instance, I have a Frank Shamrock auto card I won for 1.50 Compared to all my Jose Aldo auto's :verysad
Ring went horribly downhill years ago. Used to collect RING and KO mags when they were available. Great articles, but now it's really not worth it.
