his lack of power will always let him down. Kinda reminds me of how Barker's lack of power has let him down, at the top level and i rate Barker a lot more than Frankie.

Not everyone has to be world level, nothing wrong with British/Euro level.

I'd like to see Lynes or Vassell next for Gavin, both are solid operators who will test him.

At this stage and i say this sincerely i think Matthew Hatton gives him everything he can handle

Like the lads are saying he has to make a plan to get back to LWW, he's undersized for a WW drastically under sized, if he is going to continue as a WW, then its Matthew Hatton id like to see

He needs to keep a high level of competition thats ovbvious. Few decent level domestic names being mentioned but he needs to be out again early next year..

Power yeah its a bummer he doesnt punch harder - but it didnt stop sweat pea and paulie getting being recognised world champs. Hes beaten his first faded world champ, a few more of these mixed in with some decent euro/levl fighters and it will tell us more of what hes is capable off

Gavin punches harder than it appears, certainly enough to get respect. He just doesn’t sit on his shots often. But he’s a good body puncher and if he focuses on that he won’t need to worry about his lack of pop so much.

His lack of activity contributed to his performance last night, IMO. But I think it says a lot that he was able to handle an awkward, negative customer like Witter with such aplomb. He makes everyone look bad – Bradley and Alexander included – because he’s completely unorthodox and very unwilling to actually get in a fight.

Still, hopefully we’ll see a bit more from Frankie over the next six months and his potential will become a bit more apparent.

Who would have thought Billy Joe Saunders would end up being the most promising of the 2008 Olympians?

I think that would be a good fight, at the moment Al harbi would beat him, because if Witter can out box him for 4 rounds, what would Harbi do ? unlike Witter, Al harbi will not fade and has fought at middle before, so a lot bigger then Witter who was smaller then Gavin, Al harbi is younger, faster and better skilled then the faded Witter, Gavin will look better against a more stationary opponent like Vassell or Purdy.

Matthew Hatton early next year then by the end he should be fighting gatekeepers.

He's to small and lacks the strength to be at 147lb. Definately doesn't have the power at that level to command respect either.

Needs to drop down to 140lb and even then I don't think he gets anywhere near world level. He'd get stopped by Mathew Hatton at present imo.
