I, like most on here I would suspect, tend to find Eastern martial arts lacking in substance and pragmatism. What I'm saying is that most Eastern martial arts techniques are entirely ineffective in a "real life" situation, including most boxing or MMA matches. When actually tested by real punches, few Eastern systems hold water. They are more often bull**** than factual. That isn't to say they are completely valueless, but after a slew of disproved Eastern systems, one is understandably skeptical of their claims.
