Gavin will never win a world title (especially at 147)

ricky burns and nathan cleverly are world champions and they dont do that

 

I can't help but look at him and feel like he isn't training and dieting as hard as he could but he can still go further than his current level.

 

Are you saying Burns does not have meaningful fights ? Martinez, Katsidas, both big punches and both have fought at top level and Mitchell , good fights, you can't expect world champions from britain, to fight the elite with limited financial resources over here, if Burns was in the USA he would have had even bigger fights, Burns will fight anyone he was the underdog for Martinez and Katsidas and 50/50 with Mitchell, Cleverly though has been matched with anyone not at world level. Give Burns credit, don't hate, he is a credit to british boxing.

 

Nobody hates Burns, they just want to see him in with the best opponents.

Mitchell should have been the ''easy, stay busy'' fight, instead of being perhaps in his top 3 wins to date.

His past attempts at making that weight didn't go well and fighters don't typically go down in weight as they get older. Brandon Rios is another guy who looks like he is too heavy but that's just how they are built.
