Froch took his soul and a rematch would end his (Bute) career. Froch is wrong for Bute.

imo Denis Grachev is below Brian Magee, in every aspect. If Bute would've fought with Denis after the Glen Johnson fight , i'm sure that he'd have T/K.O'd Grachev. Bute was very anxious and his punches were too "uncertain".

Bute should forget about Froch rematch and move up and take Dawson,Hopkins and then Pascal. Money will pay his bills after he retires, period.

He can't do any worse. The fight will be in Montréal. He doesn't want to move up in weight and he needs to fight the best. If he gets beat again okay. Carl can go and fight Kessler in England.

Another brutal beating in rematch will end his career. No other big fights. 0 self confidence. Brain damages , deep depression and so on.

At this moment he can still have the Dawson, Hopkins and Pascal fights at 175 cuz still he's a good draw. He should forget about that "redeem yourself" ****. Health and money are more important.

I agree 100%. Froch ruined him. Grachev is no better than any of the B level guys Bute was smoking, Bute's done at the top level.

I think a move to 175 would be beneficial to him physically, mentally and financially.

agreed. he might as well just hope to fight Ward and cash out.

Froch would murder him in 1 round next time.

I disagree regarding Dawson, who appears to have a much weaker chin than Bute. I think it would be a huge fight in Canada and that it should be both fighters next fight.

People are overreacting, it's only one fight.

I think there is also no doubt he is going to do better against Froch in Canada than he did in their first fight.

Not saying -at all- he would win but he will definitely look better against a more passive boxer than a brawler who puts pressure. Dude has skills but lacks too many things. Froch took something from him and I don't see his career go any higher.

That's what I said after he fought Froch. This is the SECOND fight.

I'm afraid if he avoids Froch then that in itself is a career ending move. How can you dodge opponents that smoked you and try to sell yourself as a top fighter? Unless he wants to treat his boxing as a carnival act like David Haye, then it's all good.

I didnt see tonites fight and have no frame of reference here, i have been talking on here plenty of how i feel Bute has a shot in the rematch

if he did as bad as some of the threads say i will start to really wonder if he has a shot or much left

though as an above said its one fight, who knows might have over looked him, who knows

It's not "one fight". He did -almost- everything that he did wrong against Froch. He was against the ropes during the entire fight, showing his defective survival instinct again. Also he had no aggressiveness and was relying on his uppercut to the body during the entire fight instead of letting his hands go.

Surely he had a ton of pressure on his shoulders tonight, but he needed to make a statement -kinda like in the second Andrade fight- but he failed miserably.

As a fan -not delusional though, thought he would lose against Froch- it is a very disappointing performance. Bute has skills, but lacks so much things at the same time.
