These guys really need a PPV model if they wanted to rake it in. I must admit im a little surprised at just how "low" their per fight earnings are. It's still eye watering amounts, don't get me wrong. There is clearly interest in Germany as they fill the arenas and have big TV numbers, just a shame for them Germany doesnt do PPV as its not like Germany is a poor country either.

Yeah, obviously he's not ever going to generate Tyson amounts but keep in mind, this is how much he's making against Mariusz Wach... But, then for June 2011- June 2012, Volo was one of the top 25 highest paid athletes in the world, according to Forbes. So, it's not like he has never scored a big payday (thanks to Haye's ubermouth as much as Volo's fists, but still).

these numbers are wrong. he makes this kind of money (5-6mil) against guys like wach and mormeck) where is no interest. normaly he makes at least 10 mil per fight. vitalis fight against sosnowski generated 25 mil. vitali got 15 of that. or wlad made 10 mil against peter 2. and if he fights povetkin he will also make at least 10 mil

I know the scene reported that as a question mark when looking at Russian media reports and later reported that Shelly Finkel said that it wasn't even close to that for what Vitali took in and they inflated the number of ticket prices, etc. I don't know what the actual number is.

3,000,000 Euros is a lot of money but compared to Lewis/Tyson/Holyfield blockbusters it really is nothing, especially moreso considering they promote their own fights too.

Even after Tyson got cleaned out by King, he still had alot more money after his purses than that.

The 5mil offer from Sauerland doesn't look bad actually. It's twice as much as what he'll make against Wach.

Not so. Those were the halcyon days of PPV. There isn't a market or tradition in Europe of PPV, there is in the UK and that's why Gaye cashed in so nicely against Fraudley, Valuev and Ruiz. Wlad was on 50% of Gaye's domestic PPV so he made the biggest cheque of his career there. If Wlad was US or UK born he'd be making the PPV. Accident of birth, and **** all to do with the HW scene other than US fighters are no match for the K's.

Why would we need a ppv model? We can watch many fights for free and the athletes still make more money than they could spend

On the other hand both Tyson and Holyfield are broke now. Neither guy probably saw the larger part of those purses transferring into their accounts on account of the crooks surrounding them. Better to make "less" and be in control of your own affairs 3x3 million dollars in a year should be sufficient to set most people of for life.

Perhaps if the Klits fought outside of Germany/Ukraine and founght in The US, they would make a hell of a lot more money.

They did fight in the US earlier in their careers but failed to draw in US fans despite Wlad being hyped by HBO. Vitali's defence against Danny Williams failed to gross 100,000 buys and HBO lost money on the fight. Fighting in the US now would mean taking a pay cut.
