stop with this BS turbo. floyd was the slight favorite.

    floyd to win: -130
    corrales to win: +110

Regardless of how you perceive Corrales to be great, he really was a limited fighter who used his size in terms of weight to his advantage.

Never been a fan of his. He never fights tall, did not necessarily have that one punch - end - all power, and slow as molasses as well.

The only good thing is that he is never in a boring fight because he comes out swinging regardless how outmatched he is.. When he fought fighters who are of his same size, then he is just very ordinary.

Cotto was beaten and bruised during his three loss streak: Marg (plaster), Clottey (gift decision), and Pac (juice, imho). During that stretch he looked like dog **** and was just a bad dog to bet on.

However, he regained some momentum after he TKO'd Margs. It was an important fight for him following death of his father.

Most importantly, nobody said Cotto "regained his prime," as you suggest. Cotto simply regained some confidence and was fighting better than he had in a while. Cotto was simply the consensus #1 JMW in the world when he and Floyd fought. That's all I said. Everything else was something you misunderstood/misinterpreted.

It's not uncommon for fighters to struggle with making weight. Maybe most fighters don't need extra time for the scales, but certainly not uncommon to struggle with making weight.

He was not dead at the weight. He went to prison, returned, and fought at that same weight three more times. He may've struggled making weight in his fight with Floyd, but he sure as **** wasn't dead at the weight. He rehydrated to 146.

Oscar DLH was dead at his weight. On FIGHT NIGHT, not weigh-in, FIGHT NIGHT, he weighed less than his lightweight opponent. That means he couldn't even rehydrate. He was dead at the weight.

so are saying that beating old and damaged fighters like mayorga and margarito somehow makes cotto better than the prime versions that margarito and pacquiao fought at cotto's prime weigth 3 years earlier?

it's no secret that most *****s labelled cotto shot and/or damaged goods before when pac was fighting him and suddenly, cotto was not shot anymore and rejuvenated once floyd decided to fight him 3 years later and after a pacquiao beating.

coralles struggled to make the weight and was off 2 pounds. he needed the help of a sauna to further drain more water from his already drained body. oscar was near the weight almost a month before fight night.

WoW! Somebody is owned again!

I read in a lot of thread that the *****s were very proud of the Baldomir win?!
The guy with 9 defeats before the fight!

Hatton win is great?! C'mon dude! Yes! It's a win but HATTON was undefeated at 140lbs but HATTON fought at 147lbs NOT WHERE HE WAS UNDEFEATED! I will give him credit but not full credit for that win!

Win of JMM?! WTF?! JMM had to climb two weight categories to fight FMJ who incidentally wasn't satisfied with the two weight levels above the weight level of his fighting weight at that time because FMJ did not make it on the agreed weight! What a ****in cheater! He'd rather pay the penalty that try to lose the excess weight! If you give FMJ FULL CREDIT for that win. Something is WRONG with your sense of fairness!!!

Best win was the win with Cotto!

Cotto losing to Mayweather is almost in the similar stage to Dela Hoya losing to Mayweather (both came close but still lost)

So does that also mean Dela Hoya "regained some confidence" after the Mayweather fight?

Corrales was a great win, a near A level win seeing how he was considered to be the most dangerous fighter in the division

So he was prime vs Pacquiao but he wasn't prime vs Mayweather, despite not showing any signs of decline between either fight and having a competent trainer for the Mayweather fight.

    ******* logic.

here we go again. name calling since you can't really discuss intelligently about the topic..so what do FMJ fans do! Talk about the person instead of what was said by the person.

    PATHETIC to the MAX!!:

Why don't you just describe how great the win of FMJ with Baldomir which other FMJ are very proud of! :rofl:lol::rofl
