Grachev beat Bute but was robbed!

bute needs another fight or 2 before throwing him into the "shot fighter category". Grachev is a bit of an unknown , no one knows how good he is or isnt yet, if he loses his next 5 fights, yeah bute could be labeled. but if grachev wins his next 5 and picks up a "WBA interim title" so to speak, Butes win looks alot better.

 

people watch and see what they want and ignore whats happening....bute is hated much like khan for some reason

Yup but Khan attracts it by somewhat being full of himself, more often than not. Can't say the same about the very humble Bute...

i had it 117 - 111, i thought bute fought very close at time, but i gave him the edge for most part. 117 or 116, no problem i think.

I think bute was more letting grachev get into the fight so bute get some rounds under his belt before the rematch with Froch

when his countryman Haye says it he is "excitement"

khan fights the best, has more title fights, has an olympic medal, has has more fights in general and is an "*******" when he talks, haye has accomplished 1/10 of khan yet is praised. clearly a double standard

 

Haye is a 2 weight champion and never got sparked in the first round by a journeyman. Olympic medals don't mean **** in the pro game, and Haye has his own amateur medal from the World Championships anyway atsch

Khan is completely charmless, gormless and seemingly unaware of his own shortcomings. Those kind of traits don't endear people to you, regardless of achievements.

no **** the olympic medal doesnt matter in the pros, but it does go with my argument along with Khans 10 title fights he has accomplished more than big mouth haye.
and heres another bit of info for you, PAPER TITLES dont mean **** in the PRO GAME. No one is gonna ever think Haye was Heavyweight Champion of the World. and no Haye never got "sparked in the first round by any journey men" his "sparking " came in the 5th or 6th round when he was "sparked" or QUIT, or whatever the **** he did against a 40 year old carl thompson.
u just proved my point, every reason to dislike haye for more reasons, but you love him for being everything you say Khan is but 10 times less or more depending on the argument

 

Don't forget he has to talk during the entire round and then score it. Not a good idea to ask him to do 2 things at the time I guess...

 

Bute was clearly still affected by his fight against Froch. He was not fluid, was very nervous and was even scared for 10 and 3/4 rounds. He didn't react well in several occasions but corrected some things during the fight. He learned to block punches with his gloves, one thing he was never doing before. The most positive moment was the end of the 11th round, against the ropes, where he blocked every Grachev punch but was answering by heavy punches on the button. At the sound of the bell, Bute reacted strong: maybe he had expelled some demons? Anyway, Grachev's face was hilarious: he was wondering why the hell Bute was yelling like that.

In round 12, Bute was more like himself. Grachev didn't have much energy though so it may have been easier because of that.

Anyway, if Bute had faced Froch, he would have been ko'd easily yesterday.

If I were Bute's promoter, I don't think I'd put him against Froch for his next fight. At the same time, Bute may be damaged good as Lacy after Calzaghe or Pavlik after Hopkins. At least, he took a far better fighter for his return.
