Marquez made him look ordinary on three separate occasions - downright outboxing him in the first fight. Plus, he outright LOST to a shopworn Erik Morales in the first fight. IMO, at no point in Pacquiao's career does he have anything more than a puncher's chance against Mayweather...
:deal Also people, especially Pac fans always talk about Manny's offense but they fail to realize that Mayweather has a great offense and is the most accurate fighter in this generation. I want to see how Manny handles Mayweather's offense.
He ko'd hatton in 07, my bad tko. May is not that type of fighter he's a safety first type fighter, he'd rather go for the UD then try n take a guy out. Look at the cotto fight, he had him hurt a few times and just let him off the hook.
Floyd's offense gives Manny all kinds of problems. It would be a lead right hand clinic on Floyd's part....
I'm saying the combined pot is likely to be well over 100m, gave you a straightforward breakdown. Even under 55/45, Pac's side (he has to pay Arum of course) probably gets 50m+. Floyd of course would have huge non ppv income on top.
The fight would have to sell a **** load and I think they both could have made this in 2009 and maybe even 2010. I just think that ship has sailed.
i still think this fight would be a good close fight they are the 2 best boxers in the sport so i dont think anyone will get knocked out. pac has underated deffence an a solid chin an floyd has probs the best deffence an a good chin himself. i think it would go to the score cards an it would be close because of pacs work rate (i no it wasnt that good in the bradly fight) an when you press floyd he goes back in straight lines to the ropes but he is good a fighting of the ropes he has great reflexes an punch accuracy but pac has alot or aggresion so it would be what the judges favour in the end. also sorry for the spelling mistakes i typed it up fast cuz am busy watchin tele.
Which part you disagree with? Keep in mind that the average ppv price will be at least $15 more than Floyd DLH. And on paper it's still a much bigger fight, even with lost momentum
Watch pac fight clottey. it is a myth that you cant beat pac standing in front of him. pacs angles only work on agressive fighters. if u give him feints he will bite every time. you can stand in front of him all day. just like marquez. he gets so far out of position on feints, even in the bradley fight. if you ask me pac had a better chance of beating 2009 floyd. then he would have had something counter. these days he wont. pac is not brute force puncher like cotto, i think floyd could high guard and block pacs combos and come back with right hands. then clinch. like he did hatton but he wont have to move nearly as much because pac has no inside game. i think 2012 floyd man handles pac.
