Allegedly is definitely looking to make Heffron vs Gavin at the earliest opportunity, this fight would in theory be the ideal step up for Ronnie before sticking him in with Frankie. Given Heffron's apparent lack of improvement lately you'd have to favour Vassell to beat him relatively convincingly, but the one thought that lingers is that Vassell hasn't fought for a year and has a job away from boxing.... If Heffron applies the Joe Gallagher defence that we saw against McDonagh, he'll probably get stopped. McD landed a pretty heavy right hand on him in the 7th that he took quite well, but it's an opponent with a losing record and a low KO ratio to boot. I'll stick my neck out and say Vassell TKO7, but it's a qualified pick that he comes to win rather than coming for a retirement payday. I'd stick Heffron in with Skeete - get that out of the way and then start to move him toward championship class. He's got potential but he's seriously raw at the minute.
This makes me sad:verysad 2 huge talents have to be under a freak show. Denton should win but its quite 50/50 imo
There is an article on the Scene with Shannon talking about Vassell, said he's constantly been in the gym waiting for a fight, looking good in sparring etc, training alongside Hatton. Hopefully he doesn't show ring rust.
if heffron learns too move his head in the next month he may be able too do some thing If he carrys on the same he getting ktfo
dont count heffron out could cause upset ear this is what he wants vessel is strong but i am going with heffron could be a war
Heffron out again so soon after doing 10 hard rounds with McDonagh last week? I think Vassell will give him a bit of a beating tbh.
