    this^^.

ward has even less options with no big money fights on the horizon.

    Maybe he should just retire:yep

Ward isn't actually that fast, and i mean that as a compliment. He's just technically almost perfect and has so many different dimensions to his game.

His inside game is almost flawless, he can outjab and time you from distance,, he's brilliant at mid-range and can even swwap between southpaw and orthodox halfway thorough a round. Alot of people under-estimate his physical strength (Froch has admitted to doing this) and think they can bully him on the inside, but the kid is very strong and has serious balls. Like Floyd, he won't ever be 'outdogged'.

If the money is there then why not? Unless there's a robbery people shouldn't give a **** about the venue.

There's no way Froch could win even one round! Against Froch II Ward will be in his prime.

I imagine Ward would be willing to fight in the UK if the money was right. He really doesn't have that many options available to him in terms of big fights that aren't rematches unless Sergio Martinez moves up in weight or something.

I honestly doubt Ward would go to the UK, he wouldn't go to Canada for huge $$$ so he ain't going to the UK

Ward would no way fight Froch in the UK.
Ward is very smart with a great team around him, and entered a competition where all of the original contestants travelled abroad except for him.

Tell me when has an American/American based SMW won a big fight in Europe?
American and American based fighters and Canadian and Canadian based fighters dont seem to be able to win big fights at SMW when fighting in Europe.
Consider how Lacy, Dirrell, J Taylor, Bute, Pascal, Mitchell, Brewer, Green etc all were beaten in Europe

Consider in Europe in SMW world title fights

Froch beat - Bute, Dirrell, Pascal
Kessler beat - Andrade, Green, Lucas
Calzaghe beat - Lacy, Manfredo, Pudwill, McIntyre, Jimenez, Sheika, Brewer, Mitchell
Eubank beat - Schommer, Holmes, Close (I said based in America), Thornton, Essett, Jarvis
    Benn beat - McClellan, Perez
    Beyer beat - Lucas, Sheika
Ottke beat - Mitchell, Gatti, Brewer, Tate, Butler, Pudwill, G Johnson, Hernandez, Bryan,

This just gives an idea but do consider that out of those 28 fighters 21 were or became world rated in the division.

So no Ward wouldnt dare travel to Europe. I wouldnt be surprised if his team looked at these results

Could you ever imagine a 24 years old kid entering a tournament with the best fighters in his division, all veteran champions with years of experience, and being treated royally with all of his fights being on the home turf ?

That does show that the division is weak.
Kessler had already been beaten by the old past best former champ and was now rusty, suffering double vision and not been in the ring with a top SMW for a couple of years.
Froch who was old also had only had one SMW title defence and hadnt beaten any top SMWs. How do you call that a veteren champ?
Taylor was coming in off a KO loss, had done nothing at SMW and was 1-3 in his last 4 fights
Abraham had done nothing at SMW
Dirrell had done nothing at SMW.

I guess the time was right for Ward now that old Calzaghe had well and truly left SMW and retired. We know Ward wanted to avoid him as he didnt seem to want to go near Bute who was an undefeated world champ

    No that is shocking.
But Wards team didnt want Ward to be tested like the others and didnt want to risk him fighting away

Froch has an obvious inferiority complex and an unhealthy obsession with Ward. Never in all my years of following boxing have I seen a fighter receive such a convincing defeat, a defeat that some could consider embarrassing, then obsess about his conqueror like a psycho clingy ex-girlfriend. Ward is on his brain all day everyday. There is not a single thing an objective person can see from the thrashing Carl received that would indicate he would fare better in a re-match regardless of the venue. Ward is simply on another level than Carl and he just can't seem to accept that. It's actually getting kind of pathetic.

Talking about Ward every chance he gets doesn't seem to be working, so I guess Carl should start calling Ward at 2am and hanging up, or go scratch up his car, or maybe even resort to crying and begging as a last resort. There is nothing worse than a grown ass man acting like a *****!!

Good. We - the fans - want the same. But what will happen if you lose the fight against Bute, Carl?

Agreed a division full of europeans indeed weak. Always said the euros were overrated and the youngsters eould make them look bad.

Itd be like Khan beating Mayweather, Cotto, and Pacquiao back to back to back. Sad really. Shows the level of european boxing
