Aye, even Barry Sheene refused to do the TT and he raced at all the dangerous circuits, Daytona, old Spa, the 14 mile nurburgring circuit, Olivers Mount etc.

Different kettle of fish those that race the TT. The great Vale even tips his head to those that do the TT. It ain't the same, it takes something else. Its one of the things I want to do before I die, to go over and watch it.

It's what racing used to be all about, its still true to itself. Dangerous, to the limit, but its racing.

The only other racing that really interests me is British superbikes, and British touring cars and Moto GP on occasions.

Formula 1 is now the most fake load of computerized **** out, just watch those cars take a bend, its like a ****ing robot, like watching a toy car on a one of those electric toy tracks. Very little driver input at all. Todays drivers would struggle to stay on the track in the old cars that Senna and Prost used to race. Manual gears n' all. I doubt they'd even want to get into one without all the assists.

****ing DRS and Kers.....**** RIGHT OFF!!!

F1 hasn't been the same since the Senna/Prost days, Alain was a wanker who didn't mind being backed by the establishment because he knew he couldn't beat Senna on his own, while Senna simply didn't give a **** about the french corruption and just wanted to race

What an ignorant post. Button has won a fair few races since joining McLaren

Bit much to call prost a wanker. He was a great driver and very much senna's equal. People tend to forget that senna could be a difficult **** at times too.

To be a winner you've got to be a sneaky ******* at times.

Nothing ignorant about stating Button was nowhere near winning the CHAMPIONSHIP until he got a new car.

Plus not winning since not having that car.

It's the car. Give them all the same one and then we'll see who is the best.

not always, sometimes the person driving the second best car wins.

Also, its a team sport, so your point is invalid.

Also, everyone knows who the best drivers in F1 are. They dont have to be winning championships. Alonso was seen to be one of the very best when he was driving a minardi and being lapped by the race leaders.

Just like in football, you could have a good player in a **** team languishing mid table. You can still spot the talent. Eventually that player will go to a bigger club who will spend the most and win the league.

Stirling Moss: "In my day you'd win a race and be off chasing birds 10 minutes later. Now they get out of the car and thank Vodafone".

James Hunt (cars) Barry Sheene (bikes). KO all comers.

There are so many factors to just "who has the fastest car"... That is what was ignorant about it.

8 different winners this year from 6 different cars

To give all the drivers the same car, totally goes against what the sport is about. The sport is about a team developing the best car in partnership with the best driver.

I enjoy learning about the cars, and seeing teams develop cars in partnership with the drivers. It is a team sport in that sense, if all the drivers where just given the same car and their was no such thing as in-season car development..? I probably would not enjoy the sport as much. There is not one car that is dominant in all areas, very rarely do you get a car that is the best in all areas. The development of the car, is a competitive essential part of the sport.

    And i appreciate it.

The best drivers are the ones that make do and compete with what they've got. Thats why the only real driver I've paid attention to this year is Alonso. That Ferrari was shambolic at the start, all over the place, and he managed to compete, he managed to win and he is still in the hunt for the championship.

I rate Alonso, always did, I rated him when he took it to Schumacher in a Renault, like nobody ever took it to Schumacher before.

Great driver and anybody who knows what racing is about, will want Alonso to win. Why would you want Vettel to win? The man has had the championship wins on a plate because of the car and Adrien Newey. Nobody got close last season, and it was boring to watch one superior car to all the rest, the driver is no better than any of the others, but he just happens to be in the best car.

Thats why I want Alonso to win this year. I hope it goes to the wire, and I think Alonso will win the last race (Brazil is it?) and Vettel will be crying in the corner.

Spoiled brat won nearly every race last season, starts loosing at the start of this season and spits his dummy out. ****ing *****. All smiles now though. ****!

If you cannot appreciate a teams ability in developing a car, you are not a formula one fan. Developing a car is part of the competition, if you complain about it..? then you are not a fan.

No car has been dominant this year, none. They all have different strengths, the Redbull was not the strongest at the beginning of the year, and Vettel pulled performances out of the bag when he really had to. Also the Ferrari cars ability was taken out of hand all year, its been one of the most reliable cars all year in my opinion, its been a solid car.

Its never quite been the best, but it has been solid, along with the Lotus.

And so ****ing what if a team develops a immense car..? That's part of the sport.

Vettel for me this season has been on a different level at times, Vettel, Alonso, Hamilton are the best drivers hands down.
