Also you're more likely to get knocked out if you don't believe the punch is coming as your neck muscles are relaxed...which is probably Khan's main issue.

Strong Trapz and a tense neck should stop the brain from slamming against the cranium and thus Khan is saved from an embarrassing K.O defeat.

Canelo has a thick Neck, probably packing a granite chin. Khan needs to that neck training all the greats did and and still do

I was pretty sure I noticed an increase in the size of his neck while he was working with Ariza. Maybe he was just naturally getting bigger.

I figured that Amir Khan would have ditched Virgil Hunter already, complaining that he spends too much time with Andre Ward.

Leg strenght is more essential to recovery from being hurt.....It can also help some with absorbing shots but the neck is very important for the initial shock of getting hit flush. That can definitely help. Will it help Khan? I think so...he's been KO'd by some MASSIVE punchers or from eating PERFECTLY timed counters after getting wild.

Damn, surely thought this was something they would have worked on after his first KO loss.. Glad to see he will be making some positive changes..

I find it hard to believe he's never done any neck exercises. He must have done some with Ariza.

But saying that, out of the abundance of training clips/photos we've seen of Khan during his time at the Wild Card over the last 4 or so years, I don't remember him doing anything on his neck :think

I was going to post this earlier when I saw it but I assumed someone else would have already done it.

I was absolutely stunned when I heard Hunter say that Khan has never in his 24 years trained his neck muscles. That's crazy to me, I thought that was a common thing that EVERY boxer did.
