I ****ing love this guy, he's almost like a parody boxer.

There's nothing funnier than a Cleverley thread, it really brings out the best in ESB. It's also the one time everyone seems united on here.

I actually look forward to seeing this "world champion" in action. These boards are hilarious, before, during & after.

I for one can't wait to see him fight this tomohawk dude. Gonna be ****ing epic :good

Long may Nathan's reign of terror continue I say!

i cant stand anyone who talks highly of Cleverly, at least put him in with Cloud who looked terrible in his last fight, i think they really think Hopkins will come over then they rob him of a decision n make Cleverly the next Calzaghe

Yeah if you have a very strange sense of humour.

    He's been unlucky, very unlucky:

Murat - Good test, good win.
Mohameddi - Had to fight him for the interim belt. Won UD.
Braehmer - Very good fight. Braehmer pulls out.
Kuziemski - Pretty decent for 3 days notice.
Bellew - His biggest domestic rival given a shot in his own backyard.
Karpency - Poor choice for 1st defence.

Krasniqi - Another poor choice, they pulled out
Uzelkov - A lot of whinging about why Clev can't take on someone like Campilo; Uzelkov KO'd Campilo. They pulled out.
Coyne - Not great, better than Brook's US debut (admittedly without a title)
Hawk - Not bad at 8 days notice.

Shumenov - BS's team pulled out over TV dates (?)
Froch - Offered a straight up, no strings 1million. He refused.

His team have tried to make a unification - it fell through due to the other side.
His team made an excellent offer for Froch - he refused.
His team made the fight with Braehmer - he pulled out a few days before.
His team try to get him exposure in US - Don King ****s it up.

They've only had one **** defence that was no fault of their own. Too much stick for VVarren IMO.

Hopkins, Dawson, Shumenov and a million others can't all be ducking Cleverly.

Surely one of them would fancy it if they were made an offer.

''X, Y & Z didn't fancy it, so we had to bring in the 199th ranked SMW because he's the best available with a lower than 50% KO ratio and without a KO loss''

Froch wouldn't have turned down a genuine, no strings £1m offer, I refuse to believe it.

The Froch offer was made knowing he was contractually tied to a lucrative Bute rematch, it looks good in Fwank's Sun column but was never going to happen.

Ive read that Shumenov's family are rich & I'll be surprised if he goes for a unification.

Clev has had a couple of good wins but every single title he has ever won has been vacant, he needs to fight either a top rated contender or an established name next year.

Seems a nice bloke, and he's a pretty decent boxer, but unfortunately he and his management/promoter are everything that is wrong with boxing in 2012, and the reason nobody cares about title belts anymore.

Exactly. And if people want to believe everything Fwank comes on and tells people on Buncey's show,I've got some beautiful bridges for sale, and I'll throw in some free ice cubes with free P+P.

His career has been frustrating to say the least. But i do believe he gets a lot of hate from brit fans cause he's a welshman. I saw it with my own eyes at the degale-groves fight. Was getting boo'd left , right and centre where i was sat and i was hearing all sorts of welsh themed insults. That said he dont help himself with the tripe he starts spouting trying to hype up tommy the nurse and shawn the indian. Im sure people would have more respect for him if he just said , "Im sick of these terrible opponents but frank just aint delivering. Im giving Eddie a call."

I'm in no position to contradict you mate but I can assure you the land of his birth has no bearing on my opinion of Clev.
I'm also sure that he knows better than anyone that things just aren't good enough, and Fwank can be a very vindictive ex-promoter.
