I agree but obviously F rank and Nath ain't in that much of a rush . me personally i think it's pretty well established fact that F rank gets his money out of his fighters first same as it was with Joe and Ricky i don't like it but i guess it's just the way it is , BTW lol at the handy bonus remark i admire your honesty :good

 

As a world champion, i would truly want to test myself against the best. I believe in progression, and his level of opponents have actually gone backwards since Murat and Bellew.

Both Cleverly and Frank deserve a shedload of criticsm for his career so far. He's literally been gifted a title by the ****** Boxing Organisation and he's defended it against absolute dross.

I don't know the particulars of his contract with ******, but if it's at all possible he should leave ASAP if he has any ambition whatsoever.

It's alright anyway, cause one day, whether they like you or not, they will HAVE to respect you. I've seen it and heard it all before when Joe was domesticated. But later on, the haters will have to realize just how good you are, when your still undefeated and beating world class opposition. They won't know what they had, till your gone.

 

Well then we come back to the question of who does he move to and would he really get the fights his talent ( imo ) deserve ? sure it's easy to say he should move on but at the end of the day he's is where he is and the fights will eventually follow as they did for Joe and Ricky , he is caught between the devil and the deep blue sea now and imo he should stay where he is , show some patience for another year or so , oh and don't read ESB :yep

 

Claiming it is not a fighters fault that he has not fought better opposition and that he would if he could but it's all down to his promoter is a total fallacy. It is about as disingenuous as saying guys like Froch, Holyfield, Barrera etc shouldn't get credit for the run of fighters they faced because it's all just down to their promoters and if it was up to them they would quite happily fight nobodies for easier pay days.

Franks fighters tend to follow the same forumla time and time again (win a vacant alphabet strap, defend it against soft opponents and claim the top fighters are ducking) and people still fall for it, it amazes me. Still, if Cleverly is lucky then Froch will carry on fighting into his forties and he can fight him then to prove he was the best all along.

 

Franks fighters usually build up a lot of cash then **** off from him after big fights when they don't have to give him a percentage like Joe done after he unified v Kessler and Ricky did when he beat Kostya . agreed it's not an ideal route but if it makes you rich and you reach your goals , this ain't ground breaking stuff from either Frank or Nath .

What exactly is the difference that means you come on and slate Burns yet are here defending Cleverly?
People expect too much from guys holding belts and it's unrealistic to expect every fight to be a Ring cover match up.
But at least one in every three fights should be against a recognised name who the majority feel has at least a chance of beating you.Burns can stand up to that average,whilst Nathan certainly cannot.
He struck absolute gold with Bellew,and without that fight he would be even more ridiculed,but the bottom line is that Bellew was an absolute nobody at the time and the fact that he is now getting some well earned recognition should have no bearing on the fact that he was a C level opponent when he fought Clev.

 

:shock: come off it mate no way was Bellew a C level opponent when he fought Clev ( whatever that means ) Bellew imo is a class act inside the ring as well as outside of it you're just tamping down his ability now to suit your agenda . mate don't slag a decent pro out in you're one upmanship over a poster who you don't agree with , that **** ain't right . Bellew fought a great fight v Clev and if he hadn't have blown out after 6 rounds and abandoned his double jab would probably have won , But he didn't and lost .

 

Was looking at boxrec the other day and noticed they have Bellew ranked above Cleverly. Can't argue with that at mo which doesn't reflect well on his progress since they fought each other. But comparisons can't be made with Froch's recent run which has been done on this thread. Froch is now pushed for time after his interminably shite run under useless Mick.

Cleverly has got ability and has plenty of time ahead of him so hopefully this has been his settling down period and he can kick on. The fly in the ointment is Wa**en's inability to move a fighter on once they have reached world level due to his his hatred of working with other promoters. This has been exacerbated since the advent of Boxnation.

And the main reason this forum has generally developed such a strong dislike of Cleverly is that Bellew was regularly posting on here and was calling Cleverly out. People seemed to get caught up in wetting their knickers over good ole Tony posting here.

 

Froch noway KO'S Clev, Since he's stepped up he ain't ko'd no1 only bute.

It's a terrible division at the moment. Let go back just over 10 years and have a comparison.

Someone even half decent could unify the 2012 division. Cleverly should be dominating this division, fighting regularly, every few months even and pushing for World title unification fights. It's not going to get any easier than this. atsch
