Broner reminds me of WW Floyd

An uncanny resemblance to modern-day Floyd. At that age and weight, he shouldn't limit himself to such a rigid personification of a fighter's style.

 

He copied the parts of Floyds style that benifits him and there's nothing wrong with that. If somebody showed a plan that was tested and proven solid and could get me millions of dollors, I would copy that plan also. Like a previous poster said, he don't use that leaping left, lead right hand or that jab to the stomach. There's no sense in hatin cause he is going to the top with or without the blessings of ESB posters.:bbb

 

For a lightweight, his feet are far too flat.

 

he's really quick on his feet though and can dash in and out regardless

 

he's a defensively responsible punisher. :bbb

 

Yep, he's young enough and athletic enough to still have that ability shine through. I do feel that he's limiting himself, by trying too hard to imitate a 35 year old Mayweather.

I think not. He moves to the place he needs to be correctly. His hand speed and his upperbody movements compensate for all the darting in and out and bouncing around that a lot of lightweights do. Demarco is more flatfooted than bouncey himself.:bbb

 

yeah, if Broner couldn't hit back. and he's not as stationary as you think. i think you'll find he's alot more versitile.

broner seems more comfortable fighting on the inside and taking some chances.. he def gets hit more... i see a little of a young andre berto in him

I think this is a case of "Alvarez and his getting hit too much." He fights that way because of his opposition. If Broner was in a dogfight, you better believe he'd be moving around and not pulling a "147 Floyd imitation" of shoulder roll D up and cautiously walking down opponent.

It'd be interesting to see if he fights like a Floyd clone against opposition as great as Floyd faced. Would he be able to?

 

He is a bit more aggresive than Floyd for me. I like his potential though.
