I was reading through Cotto's boxrec biography page and it lists him as beating a Cuban fighter by the name of Maikel Perez in the year 2000, I Googled the name "Maikel Perez Cuban boxer" and Ireland based Cuban heavyweight Mike Perez pops up, but as Ismaikel Perez.

If they did fight in 2000, then Mike Perez was only 15 years, so maybe his frame had yet to grow into a heavyweight, while Cotto was 20 years old or so. Maybe the Cuban posters or someone with knowledge can answer my question?

Perez would have been 14/15 at the time...so Id find it unlikely.

Cotto defo lost to Calderon in the amateurs. Not sure on Clottey.

Cotto was alot lighter in the amateurs, i couldn't see him an Perez being in a bout.

Different Perez (I wouldn't be surprised if it was this one), but it's not that dumb of a question. Ivan Calderon beat a 15 year old version of Cotto in the amateurs before Cotto started to fill out. Mayweather fought at 106 in his early amateur career (coincidentally, at the same age when Pacquiao went pro at 106 pounds, yet nobody's ever claimed Mayweather used steroids to put on weight). A lot of these guys start fighting when they're still kids, really.

Mayweather is a ***** , all he has to do is stick something up his arse and he'll fill up nicely , he don't need steroids like Pacquiao .
