Laz, mate, some fighters just can't hold a shot. It's a consistent theme through their careers. Look at Amir Khan as an example. You could write off the KDs against Limond and Gomez because he was obviously not meant to be at 135. Even the stoppage against Prescott was excusable because he stood square on and basically let him have at it. But then he moves to 140 and starts getting shaken by guys like Peterson and Garcia. Whenever they connect clean he struggles and, against Garcia, Khan got flattened. So where's the common factor? Was Khan undertrained for all of those fights? Was he mentally unsteady every single time he got hurt? Well, that's a bit of a stretch, IMO. My actual suspicion is that he's just got poor punch resistance.
Hide or Enzo. Khan's a funny one - he shipped bombs v Maidana and never went down. Even when he was all but out on his feet, he didn't drop. And vs Peterson he showed a decent chin as well. The prescott shots were huge(apart from that jab that felled him...) but even limond and a done gomez had him down
Shocked to hear these words coming from a Khan fan. So when Amir professed himself to have a "great chin" - one of the sport's best - he was just whistling dixie? :hey
