People forget how diificult it is to fight JMM (Aside from Pac, only MAB was able to KD him). He is probably the most intelligent fighter today, able to adjust when faced adversity. In this fight, he was able to maintain a distance (if you notice how far apart they are when they were not exchanging) which is how an orthodox should fight a slugger southpaw. The punch stats were pretty much in JMM's favor but not by much. He was outlanding pac by less than two per round, including power shots. This is however deceiving as a powershot of a slugger has more telling effect than someone with less power (just look at the faces of both combatants). It was a close fight and any decision (win, draw, loss) is actually accepatble. If you have to nitpick the fight, then the 4th round should have been a 2 kd because once a fighter clings to a rope, it is considered a kd. likewise, we could go on counting how many punch in each round actually landed and score the fight based on it. But that is just for the sourgrapers. There are lot more important things in life than trying to count punch stats. The scores by the judges were not that far off, not unlike the MAB-JMM fight which was totally a BS scoring. The judges do not have the benefit of instant replay and were scoring the fight based on how they perceived the fight. Let us leave the decision as it is. And we have a NEW SUPERFEATHERWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD !!!!!!!!!!
This robbery BS needs to stop. JMM is a great fighter and it was a close fight but Pacman is the best Pound for Pound fighter in the World. At 29 he now has: -7 wins against clear hall of Fame Boxers -13 wins against all time greats -World at champ 3 weight classes -6 Belts, the list list could go on, and on, let's just enjoy him people!
was too close to call. i had it 114-113 jmm and i am a pacfan. i had it even coming into the 12th and i gave jmm the last round. i'm still glad pac won though. that's just how boxing is. sometimes the judges see it differently
This statement is simply false. Both of these fights could have easily went to JMM. As far as I'm concerned neither man has demonstrated his superiority over the other. I agree, crying robbery is ridiculous, but equally idiotic is to claim Pac's superiority over JMM. Sometimes we have to look beyond the decision and ask ourselves, "OK, who demonstrated they were the better fighter?" I think JMM has demonstrated that he is the better technician and that Pac has demonstrated that he is the bigger puncher. That's about all we can conclude as neither guy has clearly won either fight.
utter BS this robbery crap. the decision could have gone 114-113 either way. nobody dominated and it would have been an unconvincing and controversial win either way.
